Enhance your routine with this Samsung Gear Sport smart watch. Its 1.2-inch display keeps notifications readable while you're exercising, and its integrated Samsung Pay system lets you make purchases without your wallet. This Samsung Gear Sport smart watch is water-resistant up to 50m, so you can track workouts at the pool.
Q: Does it track sleep? if so, what kind of info you get?
A: Only if you buy all the additional apps for it which range from 2.99-4.99. The problem I had was the watch won’t stay charges enough to sleep in it which made tracking sleep difficult to impossible.
Q: Can you answer calls and text from the watch
A: You are able to answer phone calls from your watch, but you will need your phone to be able to talk to the person. The watch does not have a speaker, but it does have a mic. The mic comes in handy to talk and text recognition. You are able to text also.
Q: Does the Gear Sport have VO2 Max?
A: If it does I have never found it. They have been pushing out a lot of updates so it might be added in the future. If you have a Galaxy phone it can get that for you though, although not during a workout without stopping.
A: It comes with a large band and a small band in the box
Q: Im interesting in purchasing this smartwatch how long does the battery last until the next charged.?
A: With regular usage, I'm experiencing about 2 day battery life. That's with the screen always on. If you turn off that feature, I'm guessing you can get an additional day.
Q: Is this watch compatible with Google fit? And also can it work with My Fitness Pal?
A: There isn't a direct way I have found to sync with Google Fit but there might be a workaround. Samsung now owns UnderArmor and in turn MyFitnessPal so yes it works with MyFitnessPal. When you put the MyFiitnessPal app on your watch you automatically get a free year of MyFitnessPal Premium. Syncing is decent but still needs work. Sometimes you need to open the Samsung Health app before it syncs to MyFitnessPal. Calories seem a bit low but I wasn't making progress with my old fitness tracker so maybe the old one estimated high. The on watch app can be used for direct calorie entries and seeing what you have left but it seems to lag right now in updating. Strangely if you do a workout, such as walking, and then to another workout it will remove the calorie adjustment from the walk the moment your workout syncs. Hopefully that one gets fixed soon.
Q: Does this smartwatch is compatible with any android phones? I have LG
A: This is compatible with Android 4.3 and newer.
Q: Does the watch have weight lifting as a tracking option?
A: It does have a weight machines
