By far the best phone I've owned to date!
Posted .I am extremely happy with my Infuse so far! The huge super amoled screen is just plain awesome! I used swipe type keyboards with my old phones because the keyboards were so small; not the case with the Infuse. Its 1.2ghz processor, 1.5gb ram and 16gb on board memory make this phone what it is and that is AWESOME! Scrolling is buttery smooth. Downloading and installing apps is wicked fast. Loading apps is lightning quick. This is the first phone I've owned that has a front facing camera. No more headshots in the mirror! Not that I did that anyways:o| Making free video calls with Tango is really neat. The 8mp camera works like a charm and the interface is real easy to use. I have not yet shot video but I imagine that it works great like everything else on this phone. The customer service rep at the Anchorage store in the Dimond Mall was very helpful and knowledgeable in spite of getting over a cold. The price I got for the phone was better than what I would've paid not 200 feet away at the AT&T store. I also like the buy back program that Best Buy offers as I am a phone junkie and will likely want to updgrade in a year or less; assuming that a better phone comes along to top the Infuse.

Performs great & well put together
Posted .I love the size of the screen, viewing is easy on the eyes. I thought at first that it would be too bulky. However, the Infuse is surprisingly lightweight, much so that I often find myself searching for my phone in my pocket thinking I had misplaced it. The Android Technololgy is AWESOME!!!! I am a crossover----former Iphone user who become disenchanted with hoopla of the Iphone, too much hype and not enough performance! Compared to the Iphone---the major drawback with the Android Technology are their very slow updates with the operating systems. I am waiting patiently for the new 4.0 OS to be released. Overall, I LOVE THE INFUSE!!!!

Best subsidized phone you can buy in the US market
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI know there are better phones you can buy on ebay paying like a grant (i.e. samsung GS2), but I will only consider what is available from carriers in this review. Firstly, I have switched from nexus s (t-mobile) to HTC thunderbolt (verizon) to Samsung infuse (att) in the last month. nexus s was just old technolgy and I didnt feel like I was getting enough bang for my buck. HTC thunderbolt was a great phone, if you dont mind carrying your charger with you and charge the phone 3 times a day. I was personally fedup and went back to get atrix or iphone from att, and saw Samsung Infuse 4G. Now, this is not mentioned much, but this phone looks classy. I mean I decided to give it a go, just because it took my attention lying there in the phone stands. Then looked at what is under the hood, it is not a whimpy phone at all. 1.2 GHz processor, 512 RAM, 16 GB storage (13 internal SD, 2 external SD, 1.5 internal phone storage) with option to expand 32 GB more, 8 MP camera with HD recording and output capability. Ok, there is couple other phones with seemingly more juice out there, but this is more than enough at the moment, and it will be good for a year or two. The camera is the best part of the phone, in my opinion. I havent seen such crisp pictures on a cellphone camera before. Even in low light it out-performs expectations. I must admit it may even be better than many point and shoot digital cameras out there. Now, I know these things are stamped with megapixels as the sales ploy, but a camera is more than just how many pixels it can fill in a frame. This camera actually deserves to be stamped with 8MP. If you are like me and use your phone for taking pictures a lot, you will love it. Also, everything you need to connect to HDMI port of a tv comes in the box. You can actually watch movies from the phone and put it on your bigscreen.

Ive had a bunch of phones
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendLet me just start off by saying, ive had a laundry list of phones that include the OG Droid, Droid x, Evo 4g and Htc Incredible. This phone however is probably all around the most well balanced of the 4. Its not a perfect phone, but the specs are pretty stellar. It may not be dual core but this thing really zips. As far as the screen, the size is huge but the phone is light and thin and fits well even in my hands which are about average size. I would try to describe to you how beautiful the screen is but that you really should see in person. The black levels on this phone are amazing and frequently melt into the sides of the phone making it hard t tell where the screen ends. The text on the screen sometimes has a blocky quality to it but by no means is a deal breaker to me. Battery life on these phones is always a concern. Have no fear with this one, Im a pretty heavy user and have made it through the day and then some before putting this bad boy on charge before bed. I even watched an hr episode show on my luch break last week via the HBO GO app and still had no problems with the battery life. The Touch Wiz UI is the one thing I dont like about this phone and there is such a simple solution, download a launcher like Launcher Pro or ADW and your set. The beauty of Android phones is the ability to change the things you dont like without having to actually hack your phone. All in all this phone is pretty great. Its fast, the screen is nice and big, the phone itself is light and thin and The battery is plenty capable . I would recommend this phone to anyone that will listen. There are always lemons when it comes to mass produced products. My mom just got an Iphone 4 and had to take it back twice once for the proximity sensor and once for the speaker not working. Dont be put off by the people that have had a bad experience .

All around very good phone, a few minor annoyances
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendIve been an iPhone user since the very first gen iPhone (got one for free because i worked for Apple). After a couple years with it i started to get antsy for something new... so i got the infuse. Pros: Very nice huge screen, very pretty but slightly disappointing pixel density... still overall very nice. Excellent camera, this is by far the best camera i have had on a phone... my point and shoot has pretty much stayed in my pocket since getting this phone.. Very customizable... i didnt like many of the stock features (launcher/keyboard) so i simply downloaded new ones... thats probably my favorite thing about android. Very light and thin despite the huge size of the phone. Cons: Battery- the battery is somewhat erratic... sometimes it lasts the whole day with no problems, and then other days it seems to drain much quicker. Software- There are definitely more random shutdowns/freezes/random craziness with the software then there was for me on iOS, but nothing too intrusive. Overall im very happy with the phone, i dont really miss the iPhone at all. Overall a very nice phone with lots of nice features in a pretty package that definitely attracts attention.

Awesome
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendTakes some getting used to the touchwiz but now I'm used to it now. The phone is awesome. I've had iphone, evo, inspire, thunderbolt and others. This one is over all the best. Why: 1. The Screen size and clarity combined to make it more useful on the road without needing laptop most of the time. 2. The camera is awesome. 3. The noise canceling mic works great 4. The AT&T network has finally been speeding up 3-12 mbps (average about 4mbps) which gives me total functionality + video calls work well above 3 mbps. The hotspot function is good enough for the road. LTE is cool if you want to do a bunch of speed tests for fun or hook your hdtv to to your phone. 5. The ability to use in car dock is better due to screen size. 6. Very good battery life(much better than all the others I've had). 7. Audio out on car dock is very good. 8. Call quality is very good. MUST HAVES: 1. Samsung Car dock 2. "Dock sound redirector" from android market for the car dock(don't use the samsung one it directs the sound all wrong and your stuck with limited functions when in the dock) 3. VLINGO -Redirects your audio properly for using bluetooth to do searching etc. -----with the above items all the nav-music-phone-internet search-voice dial all work flawlessly when using bluetooth in car and redirects music and nav to stereo plus it pauses and resumes perfectly for all functions. Cons: 1. So light it takes getting used to(it will almost flip out of your hand sometimes). Looking for larger battery to add some weight get more battery life as a side benefit. 2. Doesn't wake from standby when using bluetooth voice dial button on headset-searching for solution.

Great phone
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI have had this phone around 6 months. I really enjoy this phone. The biggest complaint I might have is the touch tone key pad. It is not always recognized with all phone systems that use it. IE; please press one for billing, please press 2 for accounts...blah blah blah. It is a very large phone and feels little weird when getting used to it. I like the BIG part about it myself though. It has shut down on me unexpectedly once and has not done it again so don't know if it was me or the phone. Most apps work great on it. I do have the belt holster that the phone snaps into with the hard cover over the phone. I don't use all the gadgets and and fun gismos but I am using more the more I use it. It is excellent for the calender and note taking. Stay off the games and the other fun cr-apps and the battery time is respectable. Not the best but... The qwerty board is huge and great for the "fat fingering syndrome". The speaker is loud. I use it a lot. I would recommend this phone to anyone. The only reason I won't give this or any other thing a 5 out of 5 is because I don't believe anything is perfect. With any android, make sure you shut it down a couple times a week, it helps reset programs in the phones.

C-Ya IPhone
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI got this phone because I wanted something better than the Iphone, and by checking the reviews on bestbuy.com I decided on this phone. This is the best decision I ever made and money I ever spent. It was well worth $149.99. I was tired of the Iphone dropped calls, that fact that I got charged for everything I did on the phone, along with apple totally dominating my laptop. C-ya Iphone, Hello Samsung Infuse. I can do anything on this phone that I want and the clarity of the screen is amazing, the fact that this phone comes with almost every app i needed already, I can find any app I want vertually for free, and I can take my photos and save them on a Scan disk card where with the Iphone it's on your phone until you download and sync your entire phone with your computer which is so not needed and a pain. This phone is AMAZING! This phone is so awesome I went back two weeks later and bought the same phone for my stepson who will be going off to college. I'm just overall soo happy with this phone. I have people who tell me they want to buy the Iphone and I tell them its a waste of money and if they want a phone they can do anything on and with this is the phone.
Q: Questiondoes this phone have a keyboard for texting?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, it is all touch-screen. Even better is that it has a button you touch and all you do is speak clearly and it will print the text for you and just hit send.

Q: QuestionIs it correct that when you are in a wi-fi area you can use your Samsung Infuse and it will not count against your plan minutes?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes that's correct. The caveat is that if the Wi-Fi is open you have to be a lot more careful about security especially passwords. If the network is secure and you have the key, that is somewhat safer. Once the Infuse learns the Wi-Fi networks you normally use, it automatically switches off the cell data and turns on your no cost Wi-Fi when you get in range (in or very near the building).

Q: QuestionWhen Will This Phone Get More Shipments? In The State Mississippi Cause Right Now None Of The Stores In MS Have Them
Asked by MariaTheBoss.
- A:Answer It is not available for sale in any Best Buy retail store. It is only available through Best Buy online. If you want to see and feel one, try Walmart. Our local Walmart does AT&T contracts, and they have this phone in stock even though it is not on display. I bought mine from Best Buy, because it their Black Tie Protection Program seems to be the best warranty program around. My wife like mine so much, that we just got her one, too.

Q: Questionhow long is the battery life going to last?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The official answer is 8 hours and 50 minutes of talk time with up to 16 days of standby time. It varies for every user, but will depend on how many apps you have running in the background. Texting uses less battery than talking. I recommend an app called "Juice Defender". It is free through the Droid Market. When you enable it, it disables apps you don't need. This is especially so when the screen saver is on. At that time, it senses that the phone is not being used, so it turns off most things running in the background. Another good one to run at the same time is AT&T Smart WiFi. It stops the phone from constantly seeking out WiFi, yet is still able to tell you when free WiFi is available. With the way I use my phone, I generally get about two days between charges.
