Samsung Linear Wash 24" Top Control Built-In Dishwasher with Stainless Steel Tub
Very nice dishwasher. When it’s running you don’t even know it’s on. When it’s done it automatically opens up a little to release all the steam. The inside gives you option to make space for larger dishes, pot etc. Has WiFi, with the SmartThings app I get notification when my dishes are done, if I need more rise aide, and how many more washes before a self clean is needed.
We bought our Samsung dishwasher about 6 months ago and in that short time the water wall device broke. This is the second Samsung appliance we’ve owned and the second one to break within 6 months. Unfortunately due to their high repair tendencies and unavailability of parts we’ve switched to LG. Samsungs warranty department is easy to deal with, but who wants to do that every six months. Don’t walk, but run away from Samsung.
My wife loves it, so quit you can’t tell it’s running. Has a cool timer that lights up near handle telling up how long till completion. Black stainless is the way to go. Can’t wait for fridge and stove.
My old dishwasher broke and began leaking, so it was time for a new one. I wanted a quality unit that did a good job washing, and that had a third rack on the top. I read some reviews, and this one looked like it fit the bill.
Best Buy delivered quickly, and I installed the unit myself. I was impressed with the quality and design, as well as the relative ease of installation.
One of the main features of this dishwasher, being highly energy efficient, is that it pops the door open at the end of the wash cycle, to aid in the drying of the dishes. This worked great...the first four times I used it. Then it stopped working, and it has never popped the door open since. This is a problem, because now your dishes end up sitting, soaking wet, and never drying - unless you happen to be around and remember to open the door manually.
A quick visit to the Samsung community support website and I discovered that there are MANY people who have this dishwasher who are experiencing the exact same problem: it works for the first 3-4 washes, and then never works again. It appears to be a design fault.
A second feature I wanted is the much vaunted "Smart Things" support, where you can hook the dishwasher to your Wifi, and control it via your phone. That way you can start the dishwasher remotely when you need to, or check on its status. This works great...except you have to enable it by pressing a button on the dishwasher. EVERY SINGLE TIME. You can't start the dishwasher remotely, because in order to enable the remote features, you have to first turn it on by pressing a button on the dishwasher. When the cycle finishes, it turns itself off again. This completely defeats the purpose of having remote control over the dishwasher! What an idiotic design decision!
Lastly, and most importantly, this dishwasher does not clean dishes ANYWHERE near as well as my old dishwasher did - a unit that cost half the price of this one. If there are many things on the main upper rack, the things on the top rack hardly get touched by spray, and remain dirty. I am OFTEN finding dishes on all of the racks that are still dirty after a wash cycle, and I end up running the wash cycle twice in order to get things clean, which kind of negates any energy or water savings.
So in conclusion, this dishwasher doesn't wash dishes very well, doesn't dry dishes at all, has major design faults, and the extra money I spent to get the Smart Things remote integration is a waste, because you have to manually press a button on the dishwasher first every time to enable it.
Choose a different dishwasher from a different manufacturer. I wish I had.
I understand your frustrations and I would love the opportunity to help you get the best performance out of your dishwasher. I am including a link to the user manual on page 35 to ensure that the auto release feature is enabled (https://bit.ly/2TBaV5r). In addition, I am including a link to a troubleshooting guide to assist you with getting the best cleaning performance out of your dishwasher (https://bit.ly/31X2J4d). We thank you for choosing Samsung for your home! ^Lena

Beautiful,Modern,Smart,4 Cleaning Dishes Quietly
Owned for 1 month when reviewed.
Super Quiet, cleans great with many different options to suit your needs. You can also control your DW from cell to help you maintain your dishes the way you choose or pause cycle etc.
Dishwasher look great sitting in your kitchen,it matches perfectly with other Samsung appliances at least it does with my induction oven which I am also pleased with.
So far all is well, I did find out after installer ran initial run that you definitely need Cascade,Finish or some kind of rinse aid to get dishes to dry. After filling with that mine dried dishes like a pro...
A:AnswerYes this is normal. Im a contractor and almost every dishwasher i install are wet inside this is because the manufacturer tests them to make sure there's no leaks and stuff before they ship them out.
A:Answeryes the Linear wash system is replacing the waterwall system, it is virtually the same system but improved, and changed the name of the feature because of the reputation the "waterwall" name had.
