I was one of the ones that transitioned over to ADT SmartThings from Iris. Pairing this door and window sensor to the system is a breeze. Simply scan the QR code on the sticker and you’re good to go. I had 22 devices to add and only one gave me trouble. If you run into issues, that’s where things may get sticky. Attempting to re-pair a sensor can be lengthy. Also, this sensor is a bit bulkier for windows. I could not use the magnetic piece on my double hung windows as it was too large. Luckily, I was able to use an old Iris contact pad to replicate the magnet. Consider this if you have double hung windows and want a contact on both sides. Casement windows are a breeze to put on and are out of sight. Highly recommended!

I ordered a whole bunch of these sensors for doors and windows to add to my Samsung Smart Things system, only to learn they only work with the Samsung's ADT systems. Had to trade them all info for Multipurpose Sensors, which are really more than you need for doors and windows. I think it's just trying to push ADT contracts. And the salesperson info the store told me these would work with my system.

The setup for the Samsung Smart things was simple. The power wire is very long and was hard to hide but I used conduits to run it along the molding.
