Does exactly what I expected and more
|Posted .This camera was a great deal. I already have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and recently got rid of my mobile phone because the return-on-investment just wasn't there for me by paying almost $100 per month for what was mostly data. Thus, I needed a camera to replace my old smartphone's camera, which I used to take most of my pictures because the rear-facing camera on my tablet is only 3MP and pretty much sucks for anything that isn't in perfect weather/light conditions. This Samsung camera takes very good pictures for the price at 16MP, has an adequate flash and fits in my pocket perfectly so I don't look like a tourist when I'm out and about hiking, mountain biking, fishing, going to ball games, etc. You can edit and share photos/HD videos super easily without cords or cables and it has bulit-in apps for Facebook, Picasa/Google+, Youtube and email. One of the main reasons I went with Samsung was because I already have a Tablet, as mentioned above, and the new, consolidated Samsung Smart Camera app on Android works flawlessy for me if I want to transfer media to my Galaxy and/or view/edit them with another app on a larger screen or store them on Google Drive. I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a basic point-and-shoot at a fantastic price. I got this on sale during Labor Day as a store pickup only for just under $90 before tax. Hope this helps.

Awsome camera for an amateur
|Posted .I was recommended to purchase the Samsung ST150 after I advised the Best Buy Sales Rep (Aimee) that I needed a camera with easy functions, clear photos, and under $100 dollars. This camera is one of my best purchases. It has a rechargeable battery, and Wi-Fi connectivity allowing data sharing to my smart phone or multimedia sites easy The photos are clear with vivid color. It has great features like panoramic, and it captures moving objects and people with ease and without the blur. I took photos while riding as a passenger in a car, and ballroom dancers performing their routine and the photos are phenomenal. I purchased the accessory package which included a mini tripod, a memory card, and a camera case. The video feature has great sound and picture quality. I recommend this camera.

Great point and shoot
|Posted .I took this little beauty to Ireland where I used it for the first time. It was small that I carried it in my pocket, yet the quality and size of final shots were just spectacular. I hesitated not taking my more ultra expensive DSL, but its so heavy and I needed to walk every where. I didn't miss it. I don't recommend using the manual feature, not enough control. But on full automatic it is terrific. I did use the cloud feature, unfortunately it didn't pick up on soft shadows, tended to drop out slight greys. Overall I have a really terrific album of shots that remind me of the beauty of Ireland!

Perfectly Adequate Compact Camera
|Posted .I bought this camera in preparation for my half-marathon. I wanted a camera to take with me that was inexpensive, compact and had a pretty good review history. This camera did the job. I was easily able to fit this camera in my running pouch and pull it out quickly. The time from start to shoot was quick, but not fastest in segment. This does not excel in low light photo taking. Also the anti-shake was a bit shakey.

PERFECT FOR MY JOB
|Posted .I MUST TAKE PHOTOS TO UPLOAD INTO CASE FILES ON THE COMPUTER SEVERAL TIMES A DAY. IT USED TO BE SO HARD UPLOADING AND THEN SORTING THROUGH ALL THE PICS. NOW I EMAIL PHOTOS DIRECTLY FROM THE CAMERA AS I AM TAKING THEM OUTSIDE SO THAT BY THE TIME I GET TO THE COMPUTER, I JUST PULL THEM INTO THE FILE AND TRANSFER THEM TO THE CLIENT. EASY-PEASY!!

Works great for $100
|Posted .There are a lot of good things about this camera. I was removing my memory card daily to email pictures from a computer. I wore out 2 memory card readers. I have a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. This camera emails a picture where ever you want it. I have found it cuts down the file size to about 500kb max, no matter what resolution you set the camera for, but that was fine for my puposes. I am sure you can still download the full resolution picture to a computer with the supplied cable. It sends a file with the subject line' "samsung camera has sent you files!." It must be going through a Samsung server someplace, because the pictures can show up on my email anywhere from 5 seconds to 2 minutes later. I use this to take still picures of parts, and email them to a suppliers so I can order parts for industrial equipment. It is also used to take pictures of things before I take them apart so I can re assemble a componets.. I found the pciures to be a little dull, so I turned up the contrast and color saturtion in the camera. It will also crop and do some changes to the picure within the camera. The faults are: the zoom is very fast and twitchy, and I find I must zoom and and out until I get the zoom where I want it.. The Macro or close up setting flash range is about 2 feet. Anything beyound that, and I must switch back to normal focus. Flash on Macro is almost useless. This is a big change from my Nikon $100 point and shoot cameras. With them, I just left it on Macro all the time, and the pictures came out right, Macro distance or not. The camera takes MPEG4 viedos. I don''t think Powerpoint will support this video format. I may need to use some sort of converter to make them AVI videos. Videos are great though. I have found it takes a picure almost instantly if you hold down the shutter button half way and pre focus. I imagine this would be good for sports. It is amazing what you can do with a $100 camera these days.

Q: QuestionMicro SDJust to be clear, does this camera accept regular SD cards? Thank you.
Asked by lefty.
- A:Answer Nope. It only has a slot for MicroSDHC. I originally bought a regular SDHC when I bought the camera, the representative said it would work. But he was mistaken, an 8GB MicroSDHC will give you about 1500 pictures.

Q: QuestionDoes the camera time and date stamp the photos so that information stays on the picture when it's uploaded? My job requires that all photos have the time and date stamp on them. All the cameras I have tried so far show it in the preview but it does not show on the photo after it is uploaded to DropBox or other locations.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, the time and date stamp will transfer with the photo when uploaded as long as you turn Imprinting "ON" in the ST150F's settings menu. Following are some relevant notes from page 126 of the User Manual: • The date and time will be displayed on the bottom right corner of the photo. • Some printer models may not print the date and time properly. • The photo will not display the date and time if: -- you select Text in Scene mode -- you select Live Panorama, Motion Photo mode Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung
