Samsung StormWash Top Control Built-In Dishwasher with Stainless Steel Tub
We asked for the cheapest dishwasher in black stainless steel and this was it. Cannoy believe this is one of the cheapest models. Works great, LOVE the flatware tray at the top, and all the special features. Absolutley love it, had it for over a year now w/ no ussues. Oh! Only complaint is there's no way of telling how much drying aid is in the little cap. I tend to overfill and it creates issues with the rinsing getting too bubbly. But we've sort of figured it out good enough and it works perfectly now!
Trust Me - StormWash Is Much Better Than Hand Wash
After trying out the new Samsung Storm Wash dishwasher for the last couple of weeks, it is clear that it does a great job at effectively cleaning and drying the dishes every time. I love that it has 3 racks for organizing and providing a spot for anything that needs to be washed. The center rack is adjustable which is great for really large pots and pans in the lower rack or even tall glassware in the middle rack and was a thoughtful aspect of the new dishwasher. It seems like I was able to load up the dishwasher with considerably more dishes than our previous dishwasher. I was able to test out all of the various options including the Samsung StormWash option for thoroughly scrubbing hard to clean pots and pans. I did find that using the normal wash was very effective in getting the dishes clean each time. However, it is nice knowing that you have that option if you do have difficult to clean dishes. Not having to pre-rinse your dishes prior to putting them in the dishwasher is nice because you save a lot of water and time and because the dishwasher only uses a small amount of water with each wash, the savings really add up over time and conserve a lot of water. My husband and I were surprised at how quiet (only 48 dBA’s) the dishwasher was and you barely realized that it was running after startup. There is also a handy Auto Release feature where the dishwasher will pop open for the last 10 minutes or so allowing the steam to release and improves the drying of the dishes considerably. All in all, with its attractive design, quiet operation and so far flawless performance, I would highly recommend the Samsung StormWash dishwashers.
DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER!! First off it doesn't have a heating element in it so it must be hooked up to hot water. No big deal, ran a hot water line to it and carried on thinking that must be why my dishes weren't coming out clean. Put a dish on the bottom that had been rinsed well but had previously had some beef au jus (a little greasy) in it, nope, not clean and still a greasy film. And I ran the dishes in heavy, storm was with sanitize. But by now the 2 week window is up and Best Buy won't do anything. We contact Samsung and can only get an online chat that keeps telling us to clean the machine. So frustrated!!!!!

It “cleans” the dishes, if you don’t mind scraping
Owned for 9 months when reviewed.
I’ll be honest, this dishwasher is so disappointing. It cleans the dishes, but you can expect that particles remain after the wash.
It is supposed to grate the food, but the food then splashes around during the wash and dry cycle. The particles then harden onto the dishes. So, they’re not really clean.
It’s much louder than expected too.
However, the song that ends a cycle is the longest and funniest appliance jingle I’ve ever heard. My kids love it. All THIRTY SECONDS OF IT!

Horrible! I bought a new dishwasher (Samsung) it was delivered in four days Perfect! We opted out of the 140.00 install fee and a very knowledgeable family member installed it for us.. It worked for 20 minutes and just shut off for no reason (The beginning of the ongoing nightmare).. So we checked all the hoses and connections and the circuit breakers all fine.. Tried it again on a different setting started up and again 30 minutes in just shut off and wouldnt restart. Called Best Buy to make an appointment for geek squad to come out to repair or replace since its brand new and under warranty.. They say since its under warranty they cant help us. We have to call Samsung! Ok we call they only place they have to service Samsung products in on Long Island NY .. I am in Connecticut. So we make an appointment and that was that..until we got a call back 2 days later saying they had to cancel and reschedule.. So we reschedule for Monday (3/22/21. My fingers are crossed that they show up and have the parts to repair it..After an extensive search this is a known problem with Samsung dishwashers
.control panel issue..Hopefully they have one on the truck and dont have to go back to Long Island to get one or order one and I will have to wait longer... This is beyond annoying..Dissapointed that Best Buy basically washes their hands after your purchase.. Sad and unhappy!
Couldn’t be happier with this dishwasher. Much quieter than my previous, and and I love the addition of the third rack for drying flat utensils. Great utilization of extra space. It was a little pricey but you get what you pay for - and there were several other options in the same price range.
Absolutely love this model and how amazingly quiet it is! It works extremely well. We have well water and our dishes come out crystal clean (we do have a water softener). Our previous dishwasher left spots and white gunk on our dishes even with the best Cascade soap. Very powerful jets and it even opens to vent itself!
A:AnswerNo it does just have the plastic floor base with the rubber seal around it. If you like to give it a more finished look you can just add a floor molding piece to match what you have with the cabinets in your kitchen. Just don’t use screws/nails through the plastic piece because it will not support it. Tied mine into the cabinets on both sides and used a silicon based seal on the molding to the plastic, same stuff you would use for molding around the house. This will also allow you to remove it easily if their is a future problem.
A:AnswerYes. The top of the dishwasher has two clips that fasten to the bottom of the countertop. Use short screws or they will go through the laminate. If your countertop is stone install a thin strip of wood with liquid nails and screw the clips to the wood.
A:AnswerThere is no heating element (which we were concerned about, as well) but this dishwasher dries perfectly. Minutes before the entire cycle is done, the door auto opens to assist in the drying process. As you know, your rinse aid helps the drying also. We use Cascade Platinum Pods and Cascade Platinum Power Dry which do a beautiful job on the dishes. We have had/purchased many different brands of dishwashers including Bosch, GE, KitchenAid (the most expensive KitchenAid model and was my favorite), LG, Maytag, and this Samsung is comparable to the best of these brands. We purchased what we are hoping is our last home this past summer and bought a whole Samsung kitchen suite in the Tuscan finish. It all works great and looks beautiful in our kitchen.
