Great dishwasher power cord missing at delivery
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I’ve actually heard mixed reviews about Samsung dishwashers. A lot of the negative reviews were based on the dishes not drying. Samsung took care of this issue by placing a fan in the door. The door auto opens approximately three minutes before the cycle is complete and the fan turns on and blows the dishes dry. Amazing. Extremely impressed. However, I had in my cart the necessary power cord which apparently was removed from my cart for whatever reason and I’m not sure. And I had an installer waiting to install when he couldn’t do his job. Disappointed in that part but overall great.

So quiet
||Posted .We purchased this dishwasher because our old one that came with our house stopped draining and started leaking all over the kitchen. The Samsung dishwasher is a dream come true. It’s incredibly quiet, you practically have to put your ear to it to hear it, whereas our old one was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation anywhere in the house (I’m not kidding). I love that I can stop it if I find a stray mug or something that I forgot to put in there. I’m also pretty impressed that it’s got the flat rack up top for small flat items. Overall, a great dishwasher!

||Posted .This dishwasher is awesome, has quick wash, which I love when in a rush! Very easy to operate! It’s awesome that it opens up automatically after it’s done ! Not all that water on all the dishes now!!! I havnt had time to use all the cycles yet but eveything so far is top!!!

Cleans Great and Very Quiet!
||Posted .Cleans very well, even on the 60 minute express cycle. Easy to load with plenty of room. The top 3rd rack is very handy for spatulas, knives and large spoons. Our dishwasher is in an open concept kitchen area adjoining the living room and we can barely hear it when its running! NICE!

- A:Answer In my experience and opinion I think it does. I had an older model GE that had the element in the bottom. When we were out shopping for a new one, one of the guys at the store told me that the main difference between a couple of them that we were looking at was the way that they dry. I was nervous about changing that about our old one, but it's been even better so far! I was never big on using a rinse aid in the past either...but I found one through Honest Co. and I am amazed as to how shiny everything is when it comes out. I think that makes a difference in how well it dries the dishes as well. It hasn't disappointed me...

Q: QuestionDoes anyone else have a problem with black rubber flap coming loose and freely hanging from the bottom of the door?

- A:Answer Yes there is a problem. The flap has a two fold purpose; noise insulation and to catch moisture. In January, Samsung posted how to install the flap behind the kick plate. This did not work for me. Samsung has sent someone out twice and now I am waiting for a call from their executive customer resolution. This is an engineering or quality control problem. It is obvious on my dishwasher that the flap is not long enough to go under the plate after it tucks around the bottom of the door. It was a good idea, but I think that there are problems with the manufacture of the rubber or the way it is installed on the door. Since the dishwasher came with the flap attached to the door, it is not the installers fault. I went to Home Depot and looked at several dishwashers on display with mud flaps. Some were tucked in properly and some not. They were manufactured under the various GE appliance names: Samsung, GE, etc. This leads me to lean more towards a quality control issue than an engineering issue but it could be both.

- A:Answer Forever. A "Normal" cycle takes...not kidding...2 hours, 47 minutes. Express wash takes 60 minutes. We have very hard water, so no dishwasher cleans our dishes very well. I pretty much clean them, then run the Express wash as a sanitizer.

- A:Answer There is a rotating spray bar below the top rack that serves both the top rack and the upper side of the dishes in the bottom rack. There is also a sprayer at the top of the machine that cleans the cutlery tray and the upper side of items on the top rack. It's very effective. The only time I find something not clean is if I (or more likely my wife!) misloads something. :)

Q: QuestionCan you press start then close the door so it will run or do you have to have door closed first then press start? For this to be flush with the cabinets, the counter top covers the buttons.
