WOW!!! Samsung got this right!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful crisp picture, huge screen, great right out of the box. It is a very large screen so if you need something you will sit close to I'd purchase a smaller screen but for our needs it's perfect!!! I'd rate it much higher than a 5 if that were possible. Love this screen!!

Great Monitor with huge flaws
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very excited to find this monitor at a great price on Black Friday. This monitor looks great on the eyes. I do like the fact that they've upgraded it with a vesa mount. Now for the bad. The vesa mount is so high to the top of the monitor that it's hard to find a wall mount that won't stick out above the monitor. The complete and only reason, however, that I RETURNED this monitor is that is NOT equipped with HDCP 2.2. What is this you might ask? It is the encryption standard that allows the monitor to decrypt 4K signals... if you would like to watch 4K Netflix, Roku, or UHD Blu Ray...you won't be able to use this monitor at 4K. A huge letdown.

Great monitor, check for dead pixels
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are excellent 4K monitors, especially for the size and price. Just be sure to check it for screwy pixels, both on black background (pixel stuck on) and white (dead pixel). I ended up with a few on one of mine (using 6) and didn’t notice at first. I could have returned it but since I will pretty much only use that monitor with dark background, it’s more hassle than it’s worth.

Very nice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this 4K 28” monitor after my old Samsung got damage while moving. So far it’s pretty awesome. My games look great on it, installation was as simple as plugging in power, then to my PCs video card. I thought I had a dead pixel for a little while but it seems to have gone away now. Overall, definitely recommend if you want a nice affordable 4K monitor.

Great 4k, much less to pay...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great way to get into a 4k display without having to pay an arm and leg. I was interested in replacing my 24" 1080p monitor with something that could do 4k @ 60fps. In my search I discovered that most displays that met my requirements were going to cost $500 and up. This Samsung display looks great connected to my early 2016 MacBook Pro w/ retina. I use the display port connection to achieve the maximum 4k resolution @ 60fpd (HDMI maxes out at 4k @ 30fps). The monitor comes with a Display port cable and HDMI cable in the box but keep in mind Mac users that you will need a Thunderbolt to Display port cable (aka Mini Display port to display port cable). Overall the picture looks great and has good brightness. For a 27" 4k monitor at $249 you cannot do better! My only 2 minor complaints with this display are that I would of preferred IPS technology and a better quality stand, with more viewing angles.

As Advertised, Great Monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to splurge a but and upgrade my viewing devices to 4K. This monitor was a black Friday weekend purchase and it does not disappoint. It supports multiple displays and has display port capabilities for my HD gaming. Large, vivid colors, and you can plug a speaker into the headphone jack on the back for great sound.

Samsung 4k
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great monitor. No dead pixels. Has AMD Freesync. Make sure you have the proper amd radeon r9 card to work with the Freesync. Doesn't work with Nvidia GTX cards.

Extremely nice.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i have bought 3 of these monitors, with AMD R9 Nano x 2, in CrossFire, I can run GTA 5 at full 11520x2160 resolution using AMD Eyefinity. Display is crisp and clear, very bright and very colorful, with Freesync I see no tearing at all in my games. Definitely would recommend this monitor for those looking for a 4k monitor.

Q: QuestionWhat is the connection(s) from tower to monitor ?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The "best answer" up there is wrong. There are three connections but only two types. HDMI (x2) and Display Port (x1). And only the display port is capable of 4k resolution at 60hz

Q: QuestionAnyone using this for video editing?Hi, I would like to use this monitor to do some video editing on it. I would think that this a good choice for the task. However, maybe someone did use it for editing and found it to be not so great?! thanks.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Bought this monitor to edit 4k videos at home(3840 pixels × 2160 @ 60hz). I use Adobe Premier and Cyberlink PowerDirector. Monitor works great. But for professional editing, then try to get a 32" and up. We have a Samsung 85" 4k QMD85D TV at work that I needed to edit content for and a large format monitor helps reproduce and view content imperfections. Also, this monitor has AMD Fressync that only works with select AMD Radeon (R9) video cards cards. If you have a Nvidia GTX, than look for a GSync monitor.

Q: Questionconnecting to an iMac systemI have new 27 inch iMac. This has grainy resolution after I connected via HDMI to iMac via thunderbolt. What do I need to get super crisp clarity. The iMac is 5K, but this should look pretty close and is very, very grainy
Asked by Dave N.
- A:Answer Hello Dave, I have a MacBook Pro Retina that I use with two of these monitors. They didn't look that good until I plugged them in with active Thunderbolt to HDMI adapters. Don't know if that will help you or not.

Q: QuestionDoes the 26x19" measurement include the stand, or is that the exact size of the monitor?
Asked by Win.
- A:Answer Yes the 26 x 19 includes the table mount the actual screen viewing area is 24.5x13.5 and 28 from corner to corner. If you really want my opinion about this purchase? I think this is one of the best investments for the amount of time I spend working behind the computer. I love the graphics, pictures, and gaming is almost life like at times. I would not hesitate to purchase this product. Heck you could use this as a TV if you watch movies from your computer. Talking about clarity... Ok enough about what I think. Hope this helps you decide.

Q: QuestionI wonder if this Samsung computer 4K monitor can be used to watch movies, played from a Samsung 4K DVD player?
Asked by Fercho.
- A:Answer Yes it will but 4k is better appreciated in bigger screens such as 55 or bigger. It still looks great on this monitor but due to the small size smaller details will not look as good as it would in bigger 4k tvs. offcourse you can only notice the difference if you own both this monitor and a good 4k TV,otherwise you would not be able to tell the difference and using this 4k monitor to watch movies would seems great to you

Q: QuestionI want to buy this monitor for my PC. I am going to connect it with DP. Should i be able to watch 4K movies with it?Becouse i read that we cant do it by HDMI cable.
Asked by MakisC.
- A:Answer If you download the PDF manual from the Samsung website- you will find the statement: Select your Displayport. Displayport 1.1 supports High Bit Rate 1, while 1.2 supports High Bit Rate 2. So the monitor only supports DP1.1 or DP1.2 - not DP1.4 as someone mentioned. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort#Resolution_and_refresh_frequency_limits_for_DisplayPort 60Hz @ 4K -> 12.54 Gbit/s for DP1.2 only. If you compare to HDMI 2( use port 2: port 1 is HDMI 1.4) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI 60Hz@ 4K 12.54 Gbit/s - works the same..

Q: QuestionWill this work with an Xbox One S (and eventually Xbox One X)? I am trying to get a new monitor that is 4K capable and I found this one, and I wanted to know if I would be capable of taking HDMI and converting it to 4k with a DisplayPort Adapter?
Asked by DavidCB519.
- A:Answer I use this for my gaming monitor on my PlayStation 4 with HDMI. For some reason, they only have support for 4K on the HDMI 2 port, but it works great. No reason to think it wouldn't work with the Xbox One X in the same way.
