SanDisk - 1 GB Secure Digital (SD) Card - 1 Card

I currently own this 1GB SanDisk SD card and a 512MB model, too. I have no complaints about either of them. While each brand has its strengths and weaknesses, when you add everything up together and compare the results, SanDisk gives you the best bang for your buck. I usually keep an SD card in my phone at all times to store everything from MP3s, videos, eBooks, photos, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. This 1GB capacity not only allows you to store around 250-300 songs or photos, but even a small compressed video or two (if you want to rip parts of your favorite DVD or TV show). The additional capacity offered by these larger cards begs the question as to why you would want to pay $200 (or more) for a stand-alone flash-enabled MP3 player when you can get a phone-camera-Palm Pilot in one convergent device. Of course, this card is versatile enough to use for general flash storage tasks when coupled with an inexpensive USB reader (check out the Bonzai for less than 10 dollars), or to transfer files between desktops and laptops, digital cameras, whatever. SanDisk offers rebates every few months so even if you don't need a card right now, put this on your wishlist and check Amazon frequently to take advantage of the next saving opportunity.

Sandisk is definitely the best manufacturer of SD cards -- my family and I have several cameras, all of which use SD cards, and we have used several different brands. Sandisk is definitely the best. The 1GB size is definitely enough for people with lower megapixel cameras (4.0MP and lower), and if you aren't too shutter-happy it's also great for cameras with MP 5 and up. The read/write speed is great considering how much data it can hold, and you can even use it to store files if you have a card reader. A must buy for cameras with lower megapixels.

This memory card is great for taking pictures or videos on my camera. I can hold so many pictures I don't even have to upload them to my computer for months. I use my camera about 2x a week and I have only filled up my memory card once since I bought it last year. At times it can be slow, but normally works fast and gets the job done!

I have had no problems with this card. I use it in my digital camera, and recommend it. I have also used it to transfer files from computer to computer. No files have been lost and all the cards (I have more that one) still work very well. This card was a good buy.

This product is great. It works for everything: digital cameras, phones, pda's, and even Wii's. The security lock is good because it prevent things from being erased or written over. This is nothing to really discuss if it is good or bad it simply does its job.

I bought the SanDisk 1.0 GB to use with my Camera. I have had no problems and recently came to use it with my PSP as well as just for transfering files. No troubles at all. And a very good value for the money! I'd always buy it again or suggest it to a friend.

I love my 1GB sandisk memory card. I can record over and over and never have problem with it. I can never run out of memory when recording the video or taking pictures. The price is so great for the memory and the quality.

This sd card holds many pictures. Easy to use. I have a few other cards but sd is the best one. Fast. Lots of memory!
