I have been a Sandisk fan for about as long as they have been making portable media. I trust their memory cards with all my photography. And I have had several of these little MP3 players over the years. My old Sansa Fuze ran forever until the battery finally bloated the whole thing apart after 10 years! But enough nostalgia... This little Sandisk Clip Jam is good and bad... The bad being really more annoyances than anything, but enough for me to deduct stars. Bad 1 - 2000 song limit? Seriously?? I have a 16gb Micro-SD card installed, which it has no problems reading. BUT... Why oh WHY in the year of 2018 is there STILL a limitation of how many songs it can randomize? I have over 3000 songs on the card. It peaks out at 2000. Not really sure WHICH 2000 it is randomizing amongst... the first 2000? A different selection of 2000 each time it is started? I dunno... but seriously.... Time for Sandisk to grow up and eliminate this ridiculous song limitation. Bad 2 - The port locations. USB out one side and AUX out the other? Say what?? Obviously, the Sandisk designers never actually USED this thing or they would have immediately moved the plugs... BOTH ports should be coming out the bottom, or at least the top, so you can easily and conveniently have your cords going the same direction out of this player. But nope. They go out opposite sides effectively making it the size of your hand by the time the cords get redirected to wherever they are going. I spent some extra money and bought 90-degree adapters for both USB and AUX so the cords can exit the player going the same direction. Other than that, it's good. Screen display is basic, but scrolls titles. It is easy to select random/shuffle play, despite the 2000 song limitation. Battery life seems to be good. Menus are intuitive and simple. Size is just right. It's lightweight. Clip is sturdy enough. Overall, I like the unit. It plays music as it should. I just wish the backing code was updated from its 10 year old brethren and that song limitation done away with...

I purchased this for my workplace that doesn't akure anything with bluetooth or recording capabilities. It honestly is the best little mp3 player I've had since Zune was a thing. Only thing i could gripe about would be that it's a bit difficult to get the hang of using the audiobook features. Once you've got it down, it's easy. I've put a whole set of books that are each 10+ hours and I've still got a bunch of room for more. So far i also have about 280 songs. Wish these devices weren't so difficult to find, or I'd buy more than one. Oh, and it does come with earbuds but I only use headphones, so i have no idea if they're decent quality or not.

I purchased 2 of these mp3 players for my nine year old and seven year old music obsessed daughters, for Christmas and they both love it!! Both of the screens were scratched upon arrival just like another reviewer stated, so I am assuming it is a manufacturing/quality control issue. The scratch is only aesthetic, it does not affect the operation of the mp3 player at all. We used iTunes to upload their music onto it and it took a little bit of time to get it figured out at first but once I figured out how to do it loading their music was a breeze. The sound quality is great and it has plenty of storage I like the bluetooth feature so they can connect it to their BT speaker whenever they want to. Overall it is a great little Mp3 player and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants music on the go.
