Fast external NVMe drive
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This drive is seriously fast. I read the reviews, and when I received it and tested it, did not disappoint. I am running apps and games from this thing with no hiccups or anything. Regular USB flash drives tested anywhere from 2-30mb/40mb read/write speed, this thing clocked at 960/1000mb read/write speed—it honestly maxed out my USB-C port, have not tested on the rated 2000/2000 read write bus speed yet (I need a new computer!)

Buy the old generation at a lower cost

Fast and small
||Posted .Bought 2 of these. One for my PS5 and one for my gaming laptop. Works great, is very small, and runs fast. Very happy with these external ssds. Just make sure you have a high speed USBc, or it won't work. Only thing I've noticed is that they can get a little warm, but not really a big issue to me

Using as External Boot Drive for iMac

However, the SanDisk Extreme PRO® Portable SSD V2 (SDSSDE81) will provide you the maximum speed when connected to USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 which is 2000MB/s and would also like to inform you that this drive has not been tested on USB 4.0 port.
