Sandisk has some work to do
|Posted .This unit has some firmware issues. If you switch from an audiobook to the radio and then back to the audiobook, the system does not "bookmark" your previous position. I have tried using both the "Books" and "Music" folders and when I return to these I find no "resume" function. I hope they generate a fix soon. I bought two of these next generation MP3 players. I have been using Sandisk since the M-Series. They have all performed great. Hope I can say the same about the Clip Sport.

Great MP3 Player
Posted .Its a great player, the battery last for a long time compared to most MP3 players out there, It may not be Compatible with some things like Rhapsody, but you cant give it a bad rating because of that, there r so many ways to get music other than Itunes or Rhapsody.,If all your doing is adding songs, then this is the player to get, very reliable product and sound great with the Skull Candy Headphone. All i can say is the item is well worth the buy....

Unsatisfactory
|Posted .A poor substitute for the earlier Sansa Fuse mp3 player, whose menu wheel was pleasant and intuitively simple to use. The Clip Sport screen is difficult to read, its buttons require pressure to get a response, and (unlike the old Fuse) it doesn't remember your place in a podcast or audiobook when you go away and come back to it. Moreover, there is no protected setting to prevent accidental shut-off during use. The overall tactile feel of the Sansa Clip Sport is "cheap." I regret buying it.

Great little Mp3 Player
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI had an iPod Shuffle (1GB) and I was looking for more storage space. This was just about the same size as my Shuffle, and after using it for awhile, I like it better. You don't have to use iTunes or any programs, just plug it into your computer via USB cable and drag and drop your music onto it like you would a flash drive. It is about the same size and weight of my iPod Shuffle. The screen is bright and colorful and the menu is not too hard to figure out. It has many great features and settings that you can customize to your preference. It has everything my old Shuffle had, plus a lot more (lke expandable storage by way of a MicroSD card slot, FM radio, voice recording, live radio recording, customizable menu, and more). Here are some guidelines: If the sound quality isn't great, it's the cheap headphones that come with it, not the actual MP3 player. Try using better headphones (I use SkullCandy ear buds) and you will have awesome quality sound. Plus there is an equalizer on it that you can adjust to make it sound however you like! I had to push the headphone jack in VERY hard when I first got it. The jack is really tight when you first use it, so you gotta make sure the headphones are plugged in all the way. Not a problem, though. Better too snug than too loose! If your songs are on the device itself, it will last for many hours, more than an iPod shuffle (as long as the screen is not constantly on (you can adjust the settings of the screen timeout, too). However, If the songs are on the SD card, it makes the battery drain a lot faster when those particular songs are playing. Just a tip. Of course, when loading Gigabytes of music, it takes some time for them to load from your computer to your device, so be patient. Smoke a cig and have a coffee and relax for a nice moment while you wait. Once in a while it might freeze, or the music on the SD card won't show up in the menu, so just hold in the power button until it shuts off, wait 30 seconds, then turn it on again and it will be good to go. You can make an "on the go" playlist of favorite songs, right from the device, and you can also copy your Windows Media Player playlists to the device when you transfer your music from a PC. Overall, it was well worth buying and I gave my Shuffle to a friend cause the Clip Zip can do everything and I really like it now!

Great deal for the money
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI chose this to replace an old I-pod. I bought the 4G size and added a 16G micro sd card, so I guess you have to figure that into the cost, although I can always use the micro sd in another capacity. It's a little challenging to scroll the menu, slower than the ipod, but you can get used to it. The boot up is about 5-8 seconds so that is a little odd. Otherwise, it runs rings around the ipod because of the features/cost ratio. And the clip rocks cuz it can't fall out of my shirt pocket, or I can clip it to my collar. I think the charge lasts as long as my ipod and I don't need the Crapple adapter, just a micro usb plug.I would recommend this to anyone that wants a quality player for 1/4 the cost of ipod, and no dealing with ITunes - hooray! Also, it plays FLAC files.

Good MP3 player for the price
|Posted .I just received this a few days ago so I haven't been able to test all features or it's long term durability. I previously owned the Sansa Clip for 3 years and was very happy with that product. The Clip Zip is very similar and I am hoping it lasts as long or longer. I like this player primarily for 4 reasons: 1) The price is very affordable compared to many other MP3 players particularly Apple products. 2) The size is great for wearing the player as well as using it on the go as an audio source for an external speaker. 3) The internal storage of 4GB is good but I have added a 32GB microSD card so now it is a 36GB MP3 player in a very small form factor. 4) I can transfer music without any additional software. (i.e. music can be copied or deleted as though it were any other storage medium like a flash drive) So far, there is 1 thing that was an initial cause for concern and that is the headphone jack. I don't use the headphones that come with it and I tried to plug in an audio cable to connect it to an external speaker. The cable would not plug in all the way. I had to use my Sony headphones that were a very snug fit and after plugging and unplugging those a couple of times my audio cable now is able to plug in ok.

A really nice mp3 player
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI have had two Sansa mp3 players before, and I like them a lot. This new version has good sound quality and a nice big screen. It has new features like a stop watch and keeps time which is nice. It does take a little more time than the last version to change tracks, and does not indicate the number of tracks, which was a feature I really liked. It also says that it is supposed to show the album art, but only shows those of the sample tracks. There is nice wall paper, however, that changes for each track. The device looks nice and it the same size as the last version. It also has a clip which is very handy, it took a long time for my previous one's clip to break off and this one looks a little more durable. Overall I would say it is a pretty good product.

Q: QuestionAre there any MP3 Players that would be able to charge from a cord to a wall instead of by a computer? My com. battery does not charge my com (because I believe something is stuck where you plug it in to charge not the wall slots, but I don't have money to fix that right now and I'm not a technical person nor do I want to buy a new com, my com works fine regardless.) I just want to know if there are any separate ways of charging this without the use of a com?

Q: QuestionJust bought , earphones only work on one side. How do I get the FM radio function to work?
Asked by Anonymous.
This question was asked about the related product: SanDisk - Clip Sport 4GB* MP3 Player - Black- A:Answer If you use the player regularly and the earphone connector gets yanked out it can damage the contacts and may only work on the one side. You might also try your headphones on another device to make sure that isn't the problem, and lastly make sure the headphones are able to push in all the way, some are slightly angled and that bit of plastic may need to be filed down. As for the radio push left or right to the radio tab and push the middle button. use the left or right (station up or down respectively). The receiver is not of great quality so if you are indoors you may not get a good signal. I work in a warehouse and because of the metal I don't get a signal at all.
