With a 200GB capacity, this SanDisk Ultra microSDXC memory card provides plenty of space to store pictures, videos and other important files. An included SD adapter enables use with a variety of devices.
Q: Will this fit my Nintendo Switch?
A: The Nintendo Switch is the exact reason I bought this card. Just pop it in the micro SD card slot behind the kickstand, then go into system settings and format the memory card and you are good to go. I have dozens of downloaded games and have never had an issue with this card. Just beware though, as with all memory cards the amount of space stated and the amount of usable space are different. Despite this being sold as a 200 GB card it actually has 183 GB of usable space; all memory cards are like this.
Q: Will this work with my MacBook Pro?
A: Yes, I'm using it on my Macbook Pro as a 200GB hard drive. I got the Nifty MiniDrive for Macbook 15" Pro Retina, which is a small $34 adapter that mounts the drive flat in the card reader slot. It shows up like any other device.
A: It is very difficult to find the manufacturer's published write speed for the 200 GB Micro SD card. In my daily use of the product (for the past 6 months) in my Surface Pro 4, the write speed I have seen averages only 10-15 Mb/s. The card will burst up to close to 20 Mb/s, but down-burst quickly, and sometimes stalls for 2-3 seconds between files when copying a large number of files to the card. In comparison, I recently purchased the Samsung EVO+ 256 GB Micro SD, and noticed that it does out perform the SanDisk, notably with the write speed (Samsung's write speed averages 70 Mb/s in my experience). However, the Samsung card cost me $200 (price match), a substantial difference for the extra 56 GBs.
