I have a thunderbolt 3 enabled laptop and I transfer about 6gb quantities of files to portable storage on a regular basis, USB 3.0 flash drives heat up and slow down to unbearably slow. So does this, it goes from 40mbps at its peak for about 8 seconds, then down to 12mbps, and stays there but can drop to 4 or 3mbps. When the file transfer is done, the USB-C flash drive is extremely hot to the touch. Ultimately this product is not made for thunderbolt 3 ultrabooks.

Got this on offer to make a recovery drive for my laptop. Gets a little warm. The size is a few GB smaller than 32 when plugged into my windows laptop but was sufficient for my purpose

How do you really review one of these. It works and I got a decent price - three stars.
