I picked up one of these on Black Friday, seemed like a pretty good deal, especially the way Best Buy presented it; $19.99, save $70 off the regular price of $90! Well, a quick check online shows that everyone has them for $20, but it's still cheap storage and an upgrade to the 32GB card in my tablet, so I bit. I got it home and started to transfer the data from the old card to the new one... about 95% of the way through, it said that there was a problem writing to the drive... I cancelled the remaining items in que and and recopied them separately. I did a random spot-check and everything looked good, so I inserted the card into my Asus tablet, only to find that some of the folders and files were missing... I re-inserted it into my PC, which confirmed that about 1/2 of the items (music, photos, movies) were missing, although the properties still showed about 28GB of data (the full amount on the old card) was used. I tried to reformat and start over, this time in portions, and got everything transferred, but once again, the data disappeared. I tried again on a different PC, but this time the file names showed as random characters; the following attempts at reformatting failed. When inserted, Windows said that there was a problem with the drive and that it needed to be fixed, but could not fix it. I was able to successfully wipe the drive before returning it to the store for an exchange... Everything copied over fine the first time for card #2, and the files appeared stable on the first check. On a second random check, however, once again files were missing and complete folders showed as empty, even though properties indicated that all of the data was there. This time, however, I could not delete anything, re-formats failed, as did drive-wipes by 2 different programs. When the card was inserted into other devices in attempts to reformat, every device showed a card error. So this one will be returned with some of my data still on it. Take my advice: STAY AWAY FROM THESE CARDS. Maybe I got into a bad batch, but I lost hours of my time, which is far more valuable than these stupid cards...

I bought two of these 64 GB SDXC cards for my older Nikon D5100 DSLR camera. I bought my camera used from a friend who is a professional photographer. Unlike newer Nikon cameras, the D5100 only has ONE card slot. Being relatively new to photography, I wanted to maximize the memory since there is only one card slot. Right now I'm only shooting fine quality JPEGs, but plan to experiment shooting RAW. I'm also wanting to shoot macro photos, but I've also read that some people cheat and shoot raw, then crop like crazy to make it look like a macro picture. Until I purchase a macro lens (Nikons lenses start off just under $300), I may do the RAW/crop option. Since I bought two of these cards during Black Friday weekend, I got a phenomenal price (they cost about half the lowest current sale price for the card!). Using a 64 GB SDXC card, I should be able to take over 9,000 fine JPEGs or nearly 4,000 RAW photos. And this card is also rated for shooting over 7 hours of 1920x1080, 30p video. I'm not going to need memory cards for a long time with these, in additon to the 4 GB and the 32 GB cards I already have.

I chose the 64 GB SanDisk because it was on sale at a great price, so I bought 2. I was attending a large family reunion in Hawaii and didn't even want to have to think about running out of room. I took over 1000 high resolution photos, even some brief videos, and never had to worry that I would have to put in another disk. The photos were high quality and a delight to all. I find I tend to keep the original disk as a photo backup so that the originals of important events are always available. Of course you can always clear the disk of all photos, use it again and back your photos up on your computer or an external hard drive, but I like to keep the originals on the disk which I date according to months and year, label and then file. May not be that practical but it's my quirky way of doing things.

I was looking for a fast 64GB SDXC memory card for a new camcorder I had bought. I narrowed my selection to either this chip or one considerably more expensive. I could discern no difference between the two so I asked for help from an employee. He told me the more expensive one is faster. "No", I said, and pointed out that they had the same rating. After a few more false starts, he said that the more expensive one was a "premium chip". I said, "Thanks, you've convinced me that they are the same so I'll take the cheaper one." I've used it on all the settings on my camcorder and it works perfectly. Max frame rate and max resolution - no problem. I'm glad I bought this one.

I got this card because it was recommended by the best buy associate. This card was for my Canon 77d I had purchased at the same time. I was going to get a Sandisk extreme pro, but he had told me that is over kill for my camera. I shoot in RAW and every photo is about 28 MB a photo. I can only get off about 6 shots at a time, untill the buffer fills up. The write speed of this card is not listed on manufactures website. I had to go to a third party camera memory card test webpage to see what it truly wrote. With other proper cards the camera will write up to about 80 MB/s. When writing to my computer it was only about 19 MB/s. This is also what the website had for its results.

I bought this memory card to expand the memory of my Apple MacBook Air. I store all types of files on it and it has never caused me a single moment of worry. I had two thumb drives that I've used in the past. On numerous occasions, the MacBook would not see the drives, so I was unable to access the files I had stored on them. I moved the files from those thumb drives to this card, inserted it in the computer and have never had a problem in the time I've had the card. I actually have a second one now--a mirror image of this one that I update weekly.

I take a LOT of digital pictures. I figure storage is cheap enough that I can take a lot when I need to and then can sort them out later. In order to do this I often need to swap out my media because it can fill up. (I did say a LOT and I meant it.) I got 2 of these to allow me to take all the pictures I could possibly want. They are fast enough that I never wait for photos to save and I have not yet lost any photos due to the memory going bad. If you have a digial camera or other device that can use them and you need some extra storage, these cards are worth considering. About the only case I would say go with a faster model is if you were doing a lot of HD video recording. For those cases I recommend you go with the faster UHS-3 cards. Otherwise, grab a couple of these and you will be all set.

The SanDisk - Ultra Plus 64GB SDXC Class 10 UHS-1 Memory Card offers fast speed, mainly for video. However, I find write times for my Nikon DSLR to be quicker than some of the other SD cards that I own. I am a little disappointed that Best Buy does not carry more selection of SD Cards in store. There is a Sandisk Ultra 64gb SDXC Class 10 card available at a lower cost. I could not determine the difference between "ultra-plus" and "ultra". Asking the NOT so KNOWLEDGEABLE associate, the canned reply was "these are faster". Yes but how much faster? BB also would not match the price of AMZ, even tho the ULTRA icard is basically the same thing. Anyway 64gb of space is sweet and Sandisk makes a quality product.
