I listen to the radio fairly often while I exercise and when I want to hear the news when I get up in the morning and in the evening. I listen to both AM and FM bands, though more often FM. I listen to music once in a while, but it is not my highest priority.. I want something that is light, easy to carry, and fits in my pocket. This radio rates very highly for me in this regard. This radio does not seem to need an external antenna. I am pleased with that. This radio does not have a speaker. I have other radios with speakers. As far as I can tell, the quality gain, the portability gain, and the keeping the price down gain works out well for me. Others should evaluate in terms of their own needs. I am not a fanatic about sound quality, so someone who has to have the highest possible quality (especially in terms of music) might be frustrated. To my ears, the quality is good enough. This is so subjective, I don't see how you can evaluate your purchase based on my evaluation. I am getting old and my mind is slipping a bit. Even so, I found the operation of the controls fairly easy to understand, and the manual adequate for my current functioning. The ordering process and the delivery of the radio and the packaging were all fine for me. I am a fairly happy camper. This is my honest opinion and I received no compensation or favors for offering it.
