I needed a stand that would leave a 7" space between the entertainment stand and the bottom of the TV. This was the only stand that fit this criteria. This stand is well designed. It is wide at the base giving it more stability. One of our cats was looking out the window that is behind the TV. The cat hit the TV from behind. Since the stand swivels the TV swiveled but otherwise the stand did not move an inch. That is worth the price of admission. The stand is deeper than it appears on the Best Buy website. The upright sections is securely screwed into the base. It is tight with no play. The only issue I will mention is how the TV is mounted onto the base. If you notice the square holes on the center support between the cross members. In order to hang the TV on the base you have to have blindly situate the mounting bracket screwed onto the back of the TV with the support where a metal tab slides thorough the hole. There is no way to be able to see where the mounting bracket is in relation to the stand. Since the TV does not weigh much I held the TV while a friend watched and told me I was in the correct location. Could the stand have been better? Maybe? It is the only stand that worked for my needs I can forgive the designers. I am very happy with the TV Stand.

I bought this Sanus stand swivel mount so I would not have to mount my new 55" Sony 4K TV to the wall. We have a couple light switches on the wall behind the TV which would not be accessible with a wall mount. I found that the instructions were understandable and I had no trouble assembling the stand and mounting the TV. It's easy if you have two people when you're ready to set the TV onto the stand post. It probably could be done by one person, but it would be a little awkward. When the TV was set onto the stand, it was level in all directions and did not lean forward from the weight. The stand holds the TV rock solid and when I swivel the TV it operates very smoothly and remains solid in all positions. The stand base is large and heavy enough that it stays put on top of our console that it sits on. I am quite happy with this stand and would recommend it to anyone who wants a good solid mount for a 65" or less TV and does not want to mount it to the wall.

So glad I got this base for my 55 adjust to the perfect height and the swivel very sturdy better than the picture shows and the geek squad did they install with ease thank you Best Buy
