Best way to review is to compare to the others that didnt work. I have tried the vent-type and dash mount -- both the extended arm style and the one where the phone clips inside. I gave up on all three!! First, the vent mount holder doesn't stay in the vent when you attach the phone. It too often would just fall out. It did work when I had a iPhone 4. You no longer are able to angle the vent for heating or cooling in any preferred direction except straight toward thre back seat. The dash mount just gets in the way and isn't convenient to use. And, too often the weight of the phone on the extended arm style causes the arm to droop/drop down and the phone is no longer is good visible position. The magnet stype is the one I like the best. In my car (toyota Sienna mini-van) it is mounted to the left of and below the center vents and just above the on/door/off light switch. The 3M tape is really SECURE! I know this as the previous one was "pried" off by a mischevious grandchild. This mount isn't going anywhere. The ideal place for the flat "accepting" piece goes near the bottom of my iPhone 11 case and again, the 3M tape is REALLY secure. You can all attach this to the phone as it will still work through the case. When the two pieces meet it is "instant" attaction! The phone is secure, won't fall off, won't change postions; i.e., slip the left or right or "droop" and itn't in the way of the vents, controls, radio, etc. It is easily detached, no hard pulling! This placement allows for easy GPS and voice messaging via Siri. When you want or need a phone mount to work .... this is th best!

Worked well, good quality, uses a 3M tape and adheres well. Holds my IPhone 6 Plus in place, haven't had any issues with it while driving over bumps and other road debris.

If you have a good mounting spot in your car, simply stick this on and you know have an easy way to hang your phone without breaking your vents. Magnet is very strong, phone never fell off. I used this on a two week holiday rental car to use my phone for gps, and it worked great. Only issue is hard to remove to use in another vehicle
