Fast as a typewriter
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I was very skeptical about buying this expansion card SSD at first but I found myself deleting games too much on my Xbox and re-downloading them back on my Xbox because of the low storage that comes on the Series S, so it took me about 2 weeks to think about if I should buy this right now especially at its price range, your only getting 1TB for just $220 but I just decided to say you only live once and bought it, and I have to say this is one fast expansion card SSD for its size and very nice quality too. I feel like your not just paying for speed and storage, but your also paying for the quality of the card as well and it definitely delivered that to me. Transferring speeds is in a blink of an eye for low GB games and transfer 100gb or more games less then a minute. If you have fast internet I find it very fast to download big games files less then 30 minutes on to the expansion card, and If you have slow internet it could vary from 1 to 2 hours and maybe 3 to download on to this expansion card, but keep in mind these are my results yours may vary depending on internet speeds. Good job Seagate & Microsoft.

A Must Have
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Bought this to expand the storage of my Xbox Series S and it makes a world of difference. In my opinion you should skip right over the 512 GB model of this and buy the 1 or 2TB model. Games load immediately as if they were installed onto the internal console SSD and transfer speeds are impressive. I was getting 6.5 Gbps transferring games from my internal SSD to this SSD. I assume it is using a PCIe interface to reach these speeds. Definitely worth buying, especially if you have slow internet speeds or a data cap from your provider. This will rule out the need to constantly have to shuffle which games you keep on your console. All you have to do is plug it in and under settings you can tell the console to install games here by default.

“Pricey but pays off”
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.A must have no matter the price. This is really the only storage place that has the same speed as the internal hard drive on the Xbox Series X/S. If you would like to play next gen games, you need this. Without this, you won’t be able to play next gen games unless you install them on the internal drive which fills up fast with how much space you are ACTUALLY given on the Xbox Series X/S and how much space the new games take up. Pricey but pays off!

MUST HAVE/INSANELY FAST
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.MUST HAVE. Unfortunately it is a small chunk of change but with today’s file sizes and everything you honestly kind of need it. I’m loving it though. Really small, nice form factor, etc. Has roughly 920ish gbs of usable storage. Since it is a proprietary form of storage though I can still use the quick resume feature on all my games I have downloaded to the card and everything still loads insanely fast!

A must need for Xbox Series X/S!
||Posted .I highly recommend the Seagate expansion card for the Xbox Series X/S. 4K optimized games mean more detailed textures and graphics, which, in turn, means games will increase the amount of space they take up! 1TB might seem like a lot on these new consoles, but with 4K optimization patches, the GBs will start to add up quickly. I bought the 1TB expansion card as soon as it was announced because of this. Pre-ordered both and got them on launch day (11/10/2020).

Little card, big power.
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Definitely yes. It's quick, works seamlessly with my xbox and it loads games with ease. I only wish I came in a 2 TB option.

Q: QuestionIs Xbox insane with this price? I got a good 4tb external hard drive for $94. Nobody will buy this crap.
Asked by Wareeth.
- A:Answer your 4 tB will not give you the speeds that you need to match the internal ssd since yours is a Hdd. and this price is about right compared to other nvme of the same type

Q: QuestionSo does this increase memory capacity or does it add better performance in some way?
Asked by Nice.
- A:Answer An SSD will allow for faster loading and boot up of games. When a game is made with a SSD in mind the game will use less of your system RAM.. Freeing up system RAM can have large performance improvements.. Furthermore the "pop in" and "stuttering" glitches in games are FAR less common.. THIS SSD is a carbon copy of the SSD in the Series X/S So that you get the same gaming experience as if it was installed in the console and further increases how much storage you have..

Q: QuestionIs this the only SSD Compatible with the series X from seagate? Or will other models work?
Asked by G.
- A:Answer At this time, this is the only SSD that works with the new Xbox Architecture (required for XSX games). You can still plug HDD/SSD in via USB3.0; however, they can only be used for OG Xbox/X360/XB1 games, and NOT for XSX games.

Q: QuestionAre they working on a 2 tb or 3 tb model? 1 tb just doesn't seem like enough.
Asked by Travis.
- A:Answer I'm going to wait it out for a 2-4tb option. Like OP pointed out, 1tb just won't be enough.

Q: QuestionWill you be able to play xbox series x games stored on this? and if not, and an series x game is stored would you have to move it every time to internal ssd. What about the same for xbox one x games?
Asked by preorder.
- A:Answer This is specifically made to be compatible with Xbox Series X games. You will not have to transfer between the internal drive and this one.

Q: QuestionCan I download games like call of duty or fortnite or games that require 200 GB ?
Asked by Superduper100.
- A:Answer Yes. The Xbox Series X comes with 1 TB of storage already. If you add this 1 TB storage card you will have a total of 2 TB or 2000 GB of storage. So after downloading a game that uses 200 GB you would still have 1800 GB left.

Q: QuestionWill you be able to use both SSD and HHD? I have a pc and I can use both. I'll download certain games for a faster performance which will only be like 2 or 3 if you're lucky. I doubt they'll have it that the only way you can play x series games is on ssd
Asked by Gobstopper.
- A:Answer Series X specific games WILL ONLY BE PLAYABLE on the internal SSD *or* this expansion card SSD. Read the last sentence again to let it sink in. External USB drives, HDD & SDD alike, can be used for any backward compatible games from previous xbox generations. External USB drives DO NOT SUPPORT Series X games. Period.

Q: Questionso is this the only hard drive in the world atm that will actually let me play SX games on atm also when this runs out can i buy another 1 and plug it in or i can only have 1 plugged in at a time
Asked by jojo.
- A:Answer Yes, this is the only SSD that is currently out there for the series x console. Also, you can only use one drive at a time so you will be hot swapping the drives if you fill them up.
