I have been backing up my photos on my home drive inside my tower PC and on DVD Disks for years. An additional external drive gives me the ability to not only have backups but now if there should be a fire or other home emergency I can quickly carry all home records & photos out easily by just picking up one little box. I feel like I now have the additional insurance that I need.

I used this drive along with an Xbox One S 500g. When I connected it to the Xbox, I was prompted to format and name the drive, nothing else. I've never used an ext. drive with a console, I highly recommend it to anyone who has too many games and not enough space. My favorite thing about this drive besides the space is the interface with consoles. You can set it as your default storage transfer all your games and apps over from the internal memory to the drive quickly, and once it is your main storage device you can access everything on the drive from the "My games and apps" tab on your dashboard seamlessly. I got this drive for $119.99 on sale and it was worth every penny.
