Store plenty of files on this Seagate Backup Plus STDR4000100 portable hard drive, which features a 4TB capacity that offers space for pictures, documents and more. The included Seagate Dashboard software lets you automatically back up files.
Q: Can I use this hard drive for my Xbox one?
A: Theoretically yes. When you plug it in, the XBOX One will reformat the drive for storage. BE CAREFUL, as doing this may erase anything you already have on the hard drive, but then you can use most of the storage space for your XBOX. I bought the 2TB Seagate and it works fine, so I don't see why the 4TB can't do the same. Hope this helps!
Q: can i hook this hard drive up to my xbox one to save games and save data
A: Yes you can.
Q: does this work for both mac and windows
A: If you format the drive so that the file system is exFAT, then both MAC and PC will be able to read and transfer files. However, devices such as Playstation, Xbox and blu-ray players do not read exFAT.
Q: Does this backup via wifi or cable only?
A: If you plug this into your router via USB you can access it by wifi. Provided you have setup your router to use it. It does work very good with either wifi or cable. But you need a network to share with all your computers and smartphones and tablets. Works faster using ethernet. Enjoy!
A: 3.63TB is the actual size of storage on this device.
Q: Does this work with Windows 10?
A: I used it with Windows 7 and 10... same great results
A: The cable supplied with this drive is not proprietary, so it can, indeed, be replaced, or upgraded to one of a longer length. The cable in question is most-accurately referred to as a "'USB 3.0 A Male' to 'USB 3.0 Micro-B Male'" Data Cable. If considering a replacement of a longer length, take note that, technically, the USB 3.0 spec does not detail a maximum cable-length, however, a 9.8 foot (3.0 meter) maximum-length is recommended.
Q: Can U Use This With A PlayStation 4 Console
A: You sure can! I have one hooked up to my PS4 and love it
