Questions & Answers (2)
  • Q: Would this work for my ps4? Do they sell a 4TB 2.5inch internal hard drive with 7200rmp? (2 answers)

A: The PS4 internal hard drive is 2.5 inch. This hard drive could be used as an external add-on if you get an external case with usb 3.0 connection. I haven't seen a 2.5inch 7200rpm hard drive bigger than 2TB. An alternative is solid state hybrid hard drive. Seagate sells a 2TB 2.5inch FireCuda gaming SSHD model number ST2000LX001 . Bestbuy only carries the 3.5inch version.
  • Q: Would this work well in a video surveillance recorder? (2 answers)

A: you can use this drive for surveillance recorder as internal components and quality are high. As you might know, manufacturers such as WDC and Seagate have designed and offer specific line of drives stamped specifically for surveillance recorders. They are slightly higher quality and designed not only to last longer but more reliably. If you replace your drive periodically, then go ahead with your choosing -- ( slightly less expensive with shorter warranty drive)--. Your choice is fine. If you plan to keeps the drive longer than the manufacturer warranty says, you might want to pay more for the higher reliability drive and select "surveillance line" by the manufacturer.
