Said to be Vangelis' only protest album, you will be very disappointed if you are expecting something in the melodic range of Reprise, China, Antarctica, Theme from Missing, Oceanic, or Rosetta. All but one track contains a vocal (sometimes spoken). Jon Anderson appears all too briefly in "Suffocation" and the somewhat jazzy title track, but not in the vein you might be familiar with in the Jon and Vangelis series. There are indeed some rhythmic electronic pleasantries here (I love "Multitrack Suggestion"), plus the masterful "Memories Of Green" which fans will recognize from the film, "Blade Runner". I would strongly caution against purchasing this album on vinyl tho since "Suffocation" particularly has an extended fadeout which can barely be heard above the typical surface noise inherent in vinyl records. A somewhat prophetic album cover, since an ice shelf the size of Delaware just broke off from Antarctica!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
