Segway - Ninebot S Self-Balancing Scooter w/13.7 Max Operating Range & 10 mph Max Speed - Dark Grey

It’s easy to ride (once you practice for a little bit) and the only negative thing about it is my shins hurt (get sore) from riding it for long periods of time. I think it has to do with me always leaning forward (speed demon here). I ride this thing everyday now for the past few weeks to work and back, and I actually look forward to it, it’s fun, not as fast as a vehicle but I can literally smell the flowers as I go to work and back home ;) great purchase, I did wish it went a little faster but in some ways I am glad it doesn’t because I would probably hurt myself.

Very disappointing, ordered item and wrapped it as the big gift for all my kids for Christmas. It was opened Christmas morning to extreme excitement and soon after I realized it was dead. It would not not turn on nor would it charge.

I am almost 65 years old and my balance isn’t what it used to be. When I first got on this contraption, I initially wobbled back and forth and thought, “Oh my gosh, what have I gone and done!” After a couple more tries, I was able to mount and dismount minus the wobbling. Fortunately, there is a low speed learning requirement before the throttle is able to be moved up a bit. I took the Ninebot to a quarter mile runner’s track, and did 6 practice laps before taking it out into the “real world.” I am glad I did, because even with the smooth flat surface, I still took a spill. But only one, and there was no audience! After only 3 days of occasional use, I’m getting rather comfortable on this, and am sure I will only get better with continued use. It doesn’t like inclines very much, and the instructions say a 5% incline is all it will do. I am inclined to believe that. I’m still a bit shaky over slight bumps, but am again certain I’ll become more comfortable with use. Good purchase for me..., as long as I don’t ride it off a cliff...

I have done Segway tours all over the world during my vacations, and I love them. I jumped at the chance to get this when it went on sale during the holidays and it's working great over half a year later. It's the personal version which is smaller and limiting in terms of incline/power/speed compared to the bigger ones we're all used to. It works great on paved concrete and cement, flat surface, and 10 mph is pretty fast. It has automatic slow down feature, although I personally don't like it but probably good for kids. And the self-balancing is great technology, better than other products. The knee controls are easy to get used to and maneuver; however, I'm used to handles so I purchased a handlebar accessory (third party) which can also be used as knee controls. Overall, great product. Easy to use. Charge lasts long. App is good to track distance/location and lock. Thanks Best Buy for bringing Segway to my local store!

Everyone needs one of these!!!! Sooooo much fun! Def recommend getting the black one instead of white one bc the scuffs dont show as easily. And trust me you will get some dings and scratches!

Easy to set up, just 2 screws and a cover to attach the post. Does not come charged, but was fully charged in very short time. App connection is needed to set up the full controls, but it's easy and walks you through everything. Does a good job of making sure the rider is prepared and able. Speed setting is slow until the rider completes basic training, then you can adjust the speed for the appropriate rider skill level. Got it for my son who is autistic. He was a little timid at first but got the hang of it pretty quickly. His sisters like it too.

Bought this for my son and he has been having a great time on it ever since. The only con is that the center bar is not adjustable, but it has not affected the functionality of this scooter at all. Coming up on a year of ownership and have not had any issues with it.

I had the previous 2016 MiniPro model which was nothing but fun. During that time, the tires eventually wore down and went pretty bald. So I ordered two more tires to replace and install myself before I experience an unfortunate accident. Needless to say, it was all easier said than done. Replacing/installing new tires on your own was a real pain and simply could not do it or find someone who was willing to do it. So reluctantly, I ended up purchasing this newer model and am back in the game. I gave it 4 stars for one fatal design flaw and that flaw would be the steering knee bar which is not adjustable as it's predecessor was. That is most unfortunate. I'm not at all very tall standing at 5'8, but it still can be rather uncomfortable as the knee padding is lacking in cushion. So basically I had to get creative and add some cushion or ride in pain. I realize this device is designed more toward the younger crowd. But it can support 220lbs. as the specs state and therefore can be considered a fun toy for adults as well. Why would you do away with the an adjustable bar Segway/Ninebot?
