I found something better than this for the same $
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to get a pair of good around the ear headphones under $30, these looked very good and the brand has been usually good quality. When I went to the store I also found the Koss UR20 for the same price and slightly higher specs, so I bought both to see which were better. After a couple of days of tests I must say these HD201S are a little disappointing. Even though they are comfortable, right size and lightweight, their plastic construction tells you right away that they won't last very long, tiny plastic hinge looks very weak. As far as sound, they have poor bass and low output compared to the great performance I found on the Koss UR20 which have great bass and output, plus good construction and flexibility. Both have extreme long cords (8-9.5ft). On the other hand, the only problem with the UR20 is that they are big compared to the 201s... but if you don't mind the size and look and care more about the sound quality, then check your local Best Buy store and get the Koss UR20 instead. If you think these are too big, then I suggest the JVC flat foldings (over the ear) which are smaller and have better sound, bass output and better quality over the HD201S. Avoid these Sennheiser unless you only want a pair of headphones that look good, no matter the sound quality.

Good headphones. Long cord. Use in office all day.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed some headphones for my office that wouldn't hurt my ears and have a long enough cord for me to move around without worrying that they would rip off of my ears or out of the computer port. These headphones work great for that. I'm no audiophile, but the sound is good and the comfort is good as well. I can wear them for 3 - 4 hours without feeling any discomfort. If I go longer than that my ear will ache a little bit, but it's not bad. These are great, I use them all the time.

Mmm Tasty
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are great for the price offered. They fit well and have pretty good range. Sometimes the wire can be too long so always have one of those flexible tie things. The range is great as well. Normally if you get headphones, they'll hike up the bass range so that you'll have that powerful bass. It's better to have a range of frequency efficiency so that your listening experience is enriched, which is why these headphones work great. For the price they offer, the Sennheiser HD201s are great. I recommend them for anyone who wants to casually listen to music.

Great for teenager with cochlear implants
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got these head phones for a 13 year old with bilateral cochlear implants. She wanted headphones that would fit comfortably over her processors and not stand out from her friends'. These have fit the bill perfectly, and worked wonderfully. She uses these multiple times a day and loves them. We had no issues so far other than the slightly too long cord and would definitely recommend these to others; especially other cochlear implant users out there.

Excellent sound quality and comfort
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked these up on a trip to MA after reading about them online. I appreciate the quality of the sound reproduction. I've compared these to other headphones in it's price range and have found nothing comparable. In fact, I would have to pay at least two or three times as much for like quality. My only problem with them is that my son likes them much better than his Sony's for comfort and sound when he watches movies or plays games on his iPad, so I have to compete with him for them. Maybe I will just get a second pair!

Great headphones for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Good: The price!, design, nice sound quality, comfortable fit both on the head and over the ears, lightweight, long cord, blocks out ambient noises. If you've bought cheap over the ear's before only to find they don't fit, these are for you. The sound quality is comarable to my old Koss UR29's, but those would always break on me after a few months from me lying down on them. (My fault, I know. Those UR29 have a weird design where the headband meets the phones.) I like these better so far. It's only been 1 month and these feel so much lighter on my head for 8-24hrs a day. The Not so Good: Cord is slightly too long for my tastes and tends to naturally twist up. No on-board volume control (UR29 has one). No real complaints, just nitpicks.

Decent value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used higher end Sennheisers in audio production before and have always been impressed. Decided to try this more budget model for some less critical stuff around the house. As someone who cannot get used to earbuds and on-ear designs, I found these comfortable and light. Almost too light. I get the feeling they won't hold up if I wanted to travel or use them professionally. They're great to put on for casual listening though. And while you don't get the same awesome sound as high end headphones, they perform respectably, stressing clarity over bass. If you want cans that BOOM, look elsewhere. But I've been able to listen for hours without discomfort or fatigue. Better than your average below $30 headphones, in my experience.

Good sound at inexpensive price point
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these for use with a computer monitor which doubles as a TV screen when combined with a Blu-Ray player or AppleTV via the HDMI in port. Since the monitor has no speakers, I purchased these to use while watching shows on that monitor. They are light, comfortable, and provide a reasonable sound quality for the price. Actually, the sound is better on these than on other more expensive pairs I auditioned while in the store. They also have a fairly long cord so I can move around better, as opposed to the standard 3-ish foot cord on most portable headphones.

Q: QuestionVolume control (for TV use)I bought this headphone for my TV (Samsung). It works just fine. I plugged it in to the Audio Output outlet in the back of the TV. The only problem is the TV volume control does not control the volume to the headphone. Is there a way to control the volume to the headphone?
Asked by Daughtry.
- A:Answer Your TV might be assuming that the output is to a stereo with its own volume control. If you look around your sound settings you should see an option for variable audio output. It may not be called exactly that but it should be easy to find the correct setting. Once that is on, the TV volume will control the audio output volume.

Q: QuestionWhat is the 1/4" adapter? What is it used for?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Most A/V receivers and pro audio equipment have a 1/4" (6.3mm) headphone plug on them. The adapter lets you convert the 1/8" plug into a larger 1/4" plug.
