Best headphones I've used.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's really no question that these are the best headphones you can get for $300. The sound quality is great across all frequencies, but most noticeable is the clarity in mids and highs. All other headphones just sound "muddy" in comparison. The true audiophiles may laugh, but I do prefer in-ears such as the Bowers & Wilkins C5 due to the stronger noise isolation. However, in-ears can't even compare to the level of comfort that the Momentum over-ears provide; I can wear these for hours at a time with no problem. Lastly, I love the retro/modern design, and the amazing build quality is refreshing, especially when compared to all these plastic headphones on the market. The ONLY thing I don't like about them is the fact that the cable feels very cheap and tangles easily. Luckily, it's replaceable!

Amazing all-around headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I listen to music almost all day, every day while programming so I wanted something with top-notch sound quality, comfort, and durability. I tried every competing headphone I could get my hands on... V-Moda M100, Monster Diamond, Beats Studio, Beats Executive, Bowers and Wilkins P5, Pioneer, Sony, Skullcandy, etc. I thought I was sold on the V-Moda M100's until I put these on. WOW! My jaw literally dropped at how amazing these sounded. The lows were deep and rich, but not overpowering (like Beats), the highs were crisp and clear, the mids were clean. Everything I threw at these, the Momentums handled with ease... Dubstep, Rock, Folk, Jazz, Pop... I wasn't really wanting to spend this much, but after hearing them, there's no way I couldn't go with these over a competing set of headphones. I've been using them daily for almost a month and comfort is great. After wearing them for ~4 hours, my ears get a little tired, but a 5 minute break and I'm ready for more. The real leather headband and soft ear cushions (filled with memory foam) are of very high quality and are apparently replaceable. These are all leather and metal and feel quality, but aren't too heavy. They have a very refined look in comparison to the brash and plasticy Beats and Sol headphone lines. The headphone cable is also detachable and they include a regular headphone cable and an iPhone headphone cable. Two minor gripes about the cables -- the iPhone cable really does only work on the iPhone. My Galaxy S3 will play the audio, but the volume controls, etc. don't work. They say it on the box, but it's still disappointing they don't have something that will work with Android handsets. Also, the iPhone cable has a metal hinge for the phone side, whereas the regular cable is more traditional and just sticks straight out with no hinge. Minor gripes, but still something that would be nice to see addressed. I would recommend these headphones to anyone who likes listening to music!

Must have for any traveling audiophile
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I love love love these headphones. They are by far the best investment I have made in sound/audio yet. The sound is very well delivered, bass is rich and goes fairly deep before a slight roll off around 25hz and can occasionally get murky when listening to rock or stuff with no synthetic bass, mids are pushed to the forefront but not so much that it ever becomes a bother but none the less they are very clear with good articulation in the mid-highs, the highs are however fan freaking-tastic very clear and tonally balanced and not bright or harsh what so ever. Sound stage could be a bit bigger, but hey its a closed back headphone. Very sturdy build as well as they are premium leather and stainless steel. I would caution though, the case these cans come with is freaking huge but this good as it protects your investment. I would have no problem throwing the case at a wall with the headphones in it, THATS HOW STURDY AND BIG IT IS!!! I have had AKG Q701's, Bowers and Wilkin's p5's, and even own a pair of Sennhieser hd700. these momentums are my go to headphone other then the other ridiculously amazing but open backed (meaning people are going to hear what you're listening to, and you'll be able to hear them too) hd700 headphones. Stop Reading This and Order this Pair NOW!!!!

Favorite headphones in my house
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Those headphones are comfortable, have great sound and look very cool. But more than that, they are the favorite headphones in my house. Members of my family have headphones by Beats, B&W, and Ultimate Ears but everyone seems to want to wear these. I have to hide them in order to use them when I want. Make sure you have a good hiding place before you get a pair or you'll never get to use them.

Keep the Momentum
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned a lot of headphones in my lifetime. Sound Quality: After listening to a large variety of high-end headphones: Beats offers an interesting "fun" sound for R&B, Hip-Hop and Pop, but these headphones offer you a broad range of accurate frequencies across the spectrum for listening to Jazz, Classical, Rock, Alternative, in addition, to R&B, Hip-Hop, and Pop. Comfort: I was able to listen to music and movies for two, 8-hour flights with a little break needed between listening sessions. Controls/phone: I enjoy the ability to control my iPhone from the cable. One thing to note is that it takes time to get used to not having a lot of ambient noise while talking on the phone - it makes you want to talk quieter (might be useful from some...). Overall: great headphones - I just wish they had a portable cloth-based case for easier travel.

Great natural sounding, comfortable headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You can't go wrong with these Sennheisers. Great sound no matter the genre, comfortable for long commutes or listening sessions, great durability thanks to the high build quality. Only minor complaint is the cable isn't tangle-free, though I haven't had any issues with it so far. Highly recommended over others in the $300 range.

Expensive but sound great while not as flashy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked these over the Bose QC15 and Beats Studio as they sounded better (cleaner and more realistic sound / not super bass like Beats) they sound great off a cell / ipod but even better when the source has more power. They seem to be very well made and very comfortable I can wear them for 3-4 hours without any discomfort and look better then the competition.

Worth the hefty price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Instead of watching television at night, I know simply rediscover my music library. The sound is great. Just the right amount of bass to be "contemporary", but not overwhelming. Very sturdy appearance, not to mention stylish. Buttons on remote provide enough "feedback" to not get lost. Extremely pleased I chose these over bose qc15. The noice isolation does block more than enough noise to make you enjoy just what you are listening to (wear them in subways and busy ny traffic)

Q: QuestionHead phones best for the hearing challenged?Looking for head phones to use with plasma TV. Needs to emphasis speech as the background music drowns out speech for me on the many $100 head/bud devices I have bought in the past. Speech needs to be clear. Does this product exist?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer In addition to Sennheiser Momentums, and HD598's I have 2 pairs of RS-120 wireless on ear headphones. One set was used by my uncle, who was deaf. I bought another set for me when I lived in an apartment, and didn't want to disturb the neighbors. These plug into the back of your tv and the headphones have a on/off switch in addition to tuning and volume. These work well. I used a set when I lived in an apartment. They worked fine. Sennheiser has higher end phones also with other features for more money. Happy hunting!
