At most Best Buy stores, you can recycle up to three items per household per day (see categories below for state-specific info, and different limitations on TVs, computer monitors and laptops). Plus, haul-away options are available for larger items in your home.

    $59.99 haul-away with replacement product

    We will haul away a TV from your home for $59.99 when a replacement product is delivered by Geek Squad® or Best Buy Home Delivery. Then we will make sure it is properly and safely recycled.

    $199.99 standalone haul-away

    If you’re not making a purchase and simply need old products hauled away, please order our Standalone Haul-Away service and we can remove and recycle up to a total of 2 large products (including TVs), along with an unlimited number of select smaller products for $199.99.
    TVs that are hauled away are properly and safely recycled by our licensed, third-party recycling partners. The recyclers ensure that the various commodities are sent to end markets to be recycled and repurposed into new products.

    Haul-away options.

    $59.99 haul-away with replacement product

    We will haul away these major appliances from your home for $59.99 when a replacement product is delivered by Geek Squad® or Best Buy Home Delivery. Then we will make sure it is properly and safely recycled. Any dishwasher must be disconnected prior to appliance delivery (unless you've also purchased new dishwasher installation) or it will not be eligible for haul-away. A $59.99 service fee will be charged for each appliance that is relocated within the delivery address.

California Electronic Waste Recycling Act
In 2004 the state of California passed a law which requires retailers to collect an advanced recovery fee when a consumer purchases a new televisions or monitors. The fee is deposited in a fund managed by the state of California, which was created to finance recycling of unwanted electronics.

An Act Concerning the Collection and Recycling of Covered Electronic Devices
The state of Connecticut pass a law in 2007 which requires manufacturers to finance a program that provides Connecticut households a reasonably convenient system of collection and recycling opportunities for certain electronic devices.

Extended Manufacturer Responsibility for Electronic Waste – eCYCLE DC
In 2014, the District of Columbia passed an electronics recycling law that requires manufacturers of certain electronic devices to submit and maintain a recycling plan that provides sufficient collection and recycling opportunities for residents in the District. Illinois' Electronic Products Recycling and Reuse Act
The Electronic Products Recycling and Reuse Act was signed into law September 17, 2008. The law requires manufacturers to set up and pay for the collection, transportation and recycling of their products sold in Illinois.

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality

Virginia
All collection, recycling, and reuse of computer equipment complies with § 10.1-1425.38 regarding sound environmental management. E-Cycling West Virginia
In 2008, the state of West Virginia passed an electronics recycling law that requires manufacturers of certain electronic devices to finance a system of collection and recycling opportunities for West Virginia residents. In the 2009–2010 West Virginia legislative session, Senate Bill 398 was passed banning electronics from West Virginia landfills, effective January 1, 2011.

E-Cycle Wisconsin
In 2009, the state of Wisconsin passed an electronics recycling law which requires manufacturers of certain electronic devices to finance a system of collection and recycling opportunities for Wisconsin residents.
