I love, love, love Shameless.. watching the Galagers is like watching my family destruct and yet survive daily, just to destruct all over again all while making you laugh and cry at the same time! Shamless is simply great must see TV and owning the first season series is just the start of my future collection, I plan to own all 4 seasons and can't wait for Season 5 to come out next!

Shameless is the one a lot of people overlooked but the one that's STILL excellent even in its fifth season, usually the death knell for many dramas. As the Dexters and Homelands of the world have fallen on "running too long syndrome," here you have a funny show, a clever show, and an exceptionally well acted show. At times it isn't the easiest watch, particularly Macy's character, but this one is WELL worth your attention. The Blu-Ray transfer is quite good as well.

While the show is itself comical and outrageous, I admire that the show centers around a family that isn't middle class. Quite the opposite, the show deals with the struggles of the low/poor class in very frank and honest portrayals. Highly recommend it to anyone over the age of 17 (fornication, drugs, and nudity are in FULL SWING in this show)
