This is my 1st robot style vacuum and I couldn't be happier. It is not the top-of-the-line robot but does a good job just the same. My only issue with the Shark- IQ Robot R101 is it is noisy, but as one reviewer stated usually you're not at home while it's running. The one feature I like the most is the cutter. My granddaughters have very long hair and this particular model cuts the hair so it does not wrap around the beater bar - excellent feature. I also like the mapping feature. It does take about 3x's of complete house cleaning to finally map your home, but this is good in order to ensure it doesn't miss any area. I must say though, I do find it challenging sectioning off each room in order to clean a single area vs the entire house. It operates via wi-fi 2.4Ghz, luckily my router operates at 5 or 2.4Ghz so this is not an issue. All-in-all you won't go wrong with this purchase.

We looked at several robot vaccuum systems to get a mapped one upwards of 600 plus. We like most about this is our experience is that it doesn't just doesn't bump into stuff it moves in rows instead of just going all over the place. It comes with some barrier stripping to put in areas that you may not want it to go under a dresser or a bed where it could get stuck.. it takes a little planning to make sure you proof your home for unplanned interruption our experience is it works well this model does well with shedding pets. We do empty and clean the brush daily. Overall I reccomend we had for about two weeks no obvious regrets yet. We have another downstairs consumer reports rated as best buy but we like the shark much better because of the uuniform cleaning and mapping. It picked up dirt and hair well no complaints.

This is my first self cleaning vacuum and am wowed by it's features. It can scan the room and avoid objects that come in it's path (although at times because of this it completely misses vacuuming a specific area). You can also view the status of the vacuum via the Shark Clean app and is very handy! One of the things I was a little disappointed with is the side air holes. As it is vacuuming, sometimes debris is pushed by the air coming out of the Shark's side holes. This causes for it to then not get vacuumed. Although this doesn't happen often, it is a minor thing I've noticed. The battery life of the Shark vacuum lasts for about an hour and is enough to vacuum multiple rooms in the house. It also is able to vacuum multiple floor types like hardwood and tile which is an added plus. Since I have both tile and carpeted areas in my home, I was able to observe that those areas were indeed vacuumed well. One of the biggest pros of having a small portable, self cleaning vacuum (other than it cleaning floors for you) is that it will clean hard to reach areas. Areas like under couches, sofas, beds, etc. are areas I consider needing to do more work to clean. With the Shark vacuum, it not only cleans these areas for you, but also saves you the hassle of you moving furniture or having to reach under them to clean.

Customers consistently note the IQ Robot R101's excellent cleaning performance and ease of use, with many praising its effective pet hair pickup and long battery life. However, some users experienced issues with navigation and reported that the robot is sometimes noisy and the mapping process could be improved. While the price point is considered favorable by some, concerns were also raised regarding suction power and app connectivity.
