We found this solo unit hidden away at the back of the store (open box unit that someone must have special ordered and returned) - we were so glad it was there! For us, our [convection] microwave choice was driven by the size/dimensions. Almost every other above-the-range convection microwave model was slightly bigger than the original footprint created for our [dead] 20 year old Sharp Carousel (installed when we bought our house) - this would have required cutting into the granite, modifying cabinets – an expensive and possibly screwy custom install job. We wanted to keep it "more simple" so we opted to buy the only microwave that we could find that fit into our existing space... another Sharp (I was skeptical). Being brave - we opted to self install. Crossed our fingers, measured quite a few times, read the directions more than a few times... We were very lucky - we only had to uninstall the old "Sharp" mounting bracket; and drill in the new one (suggest you get longer drywall anchors from the hardware store before you start the install because the ones that come with the package don't leave much room for play - and we broke the ones that came with the unit). The mounting plate and the long/angled screws are definitely interesting. For us, because we had literally no extra mounting space, which meant that we really had to be *exact* about the position of the mounting plate.Lifting the microwave onto the mounting bracket definitely requires reading the manual (on an angle). We were amazed (and thankful) that the microwave (just barely) fit into our existing footprint. The new microwave works well for our needs, overall - we're pleased with the purchase. Additionally, Best Buy recycled our old unit for us. Thanks again!

This micro/convection replaced one in our Motorhome. It even fits the same wall brace. The only difference is this one is stainless and looks much nicer. I cooked a pork loin on computer-bake and it was delicious.

Bought this as a replacement to a 17yr old microwave that gave up the ghost. Figured that the SHARP lasted for 17 years why bother with a different brand. Best Buy was considerably less expensive than Lo??? and Hom? D????. Turnaround time - 1 week, but for the money savings, not an issue. Nice feature, convection and rotating turntable. Funny thing is, a standard over the range microwave which would have fit is 250 without rotating turntable - rotating turntable, add another 100 to bring it up to 350 - for another 130 you can get a convection oven and throw out the toaster oven on the counter top! (after all that unit only really makes toast by baking the bread by turning it brown anyway). Want to make real toast, go to Wal???? and buy a two slice toaster for $8 - in two minutes you have toast, not the 8 minute toast from the toaster oven! Real toasters are toasters, not ovens!
