Decent computer monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the picture connected to my Brix via HDMI. Changed the AV mode setting to game mode and it looks great. I have my computer mounted to the back of the computer. Nice and clean. Sound is a bit tinny but other than that it's pretty good. I have it sitting on a home made speaker so the sound I am not too worried about. The only other little issue I am having is that whenever I start the computer the screen has to be re-centered for some reason. I will update when I figure out why that is happening. For $169.99 you can't beat this!!

Great TV if you don't need a lot of extras.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for an inexpensive tv to connect my TIVO mini. (I didn't need a smart tv as the TIVO has apps included.) This Sharp model has a great picture and is a nice size for a bedroom. It even has a sleep timer which is great if you fall asleep watching tv. I would have rated it 5 stars but you have to crank up the volume to hear it. If you have difficulty hearing at all, consider adding a sound bar.

Good for the Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great television, particularly because of how cheap it is. It looks good alongside nice audio equipment and furniture as well. I do wish it had two component bays, but it only has one; it does have more than enough HDMI ports and both analog and optical audio out, it also has real buttons on the left side.

Q: QuestionDoes this tv could work with Roku; Amazon Fire; Chromecast, etc? Is it Energy Star Certified? Does it work with a Computer if I want to as such?I just know that this TV set is not a Smart TV or Roku Ready but if I want to use it with Roku; Amazon Fire; Chromecast or any type of streaming devices would it work? Is it Energy Star Certified? Would it work if I want to use it as a monitor with my computer? How is it the stand; is it sturdy enough to keep the TV straight & not wooble?
Asked by Johnny Bravo.
- A:Answer Yes, you can plug in any of the devices that you mentioned and they will work. It has 3 HDMI inputs for this. We didn't use the stand as we mounted it on a wall. But, the stand is actually two pieces- one on each side- and each one has two legs. So it seems that it would be very sturdy considering that the TV is extremely light.

Q: QuestionIf used as a computer Monitor, How crisp and sharp is the Text for reading and typing? Is the text as sharp and clear as a 24 inch LED MONITOR?
Asked by jwil.
- A:Answer yes, I feel that you can get it even better, we use them as monitors for Mapping and they have better resolution than our traditional LED monitors and having a larger screen for less money was a huge bonus.

Q: QuestionCan this be used with a over the air antenna and a analog dvd player?II have been using a outside digital over the air antenna on a Sharp CRT TV with a digital converter box. I have a Sony DVD/VHS Player in the system . It has RF connections for RF in and out as well as RCA connections for the same as well as A/V. Can this TV be used in a set up such as this? Can adapters be added, if necessary, to make it work?
Asked by coyo27.
- A:Answer Yes you no longer will need your converter box. It has an auto channel search you will have to do the first time you set it up, but it's pretty straight forward. As long as your dvd player can play over the rca connections you will be fine. There's even a setting that will change the input to your DVD automatically when it's turned on if you want to use it.

Q: QuestionIs this TV cable ready?I have basic cable, requires no cable box, in dorm room. Will this TV "auto tune" or otherwise pick up stations with just a simple coaxial cable hook up?
Asked by Hamilton.
- A:Answer I'm going to answer my own question here. I called Sharp tech support as directed and was informed that this set is equipped with a "clear QAM tuner", which is what the college cable provider says is required to view all available channels with simply a coaxial cable connection, no cable converter box required. Thank you, me.

Q: Questioncan a person come to install a tv in my home?will a person came to my home to install a new tv? i am an old lady don’t know how to do it.thanks
Asked by graca weber.
- A:Answer I don't know if someone will come to install it. My TV is connected to my DVD/VCR player, so I already had cables that go from that machine to the TV. I also run my TV off a wireless antenna (I don't have cable). If you have cable, it might be easier to install. My point is, you may need to purchase an inexpensive cable to connect the TV to your VCR, etc. If you have any grandchildren or family members you can call, I guarantee you they will know how to install it for you because it isn't complicated. If you don't have wireless in your home and have no interest in viewing Netflix through the TV, you may be able to save a few dollars by going with a TV that has all of the same features but it isn't "Smart" -- that is what increases the price a bit. The box will arrive very quickly and fortunately the TV is so light -- anyone can pick it up. Good luck. I know I haven't answered your questions, but I just want to encourage you to call a friend or family member if the store people won't do it.
