This boombox is slightly better clarity than the original jvc kaboombox of the 90s as l had it personally, the bass is about even very powerful. Most I like about this is the Bluetooth to connect with devices that has bluetooth, and the USB connection where I can connect a USB flash drive to play music,.the fm radio is an added bonus. I love this model its great for listening indoor and outdoor. It gets loud with no distortion at all. Thank you sharp for this good quality product, satisfied customer here.,,

The listings for this product mark it as rechargeable but this is false. It's very much a boombox in the way you can have it plugged in via AC cord to any outlet OR throw 10 (!!!) D batteries in it to take it on the road (or the backyard) The design is very similar to the JVC Kaboom series of years ago with beefy side-firing subwoofers. The music-sensitive blue LEDs that shine on the subwoofers from inside the side handles is a nice touch in my opinion. I needed something that sounded great in the house and I got it. This guy is a tank - make no mistake about the size. However, it sits comofrttabley on a dresser in my room and fills the whole house with sound. Bluetooth range is impressive even though they don't brag about it on the product features - unsure still if it's Bluetooth 3.0 or 4.0 inside but good overall. My only gripe is I wish it wasn't so unwieldy for when I want to take it on the go.

I had an experience with the jvc kaboombox in the 90s and it excite me when I saw this sharp boombox. The looks and specifications made me buy this sharp boombox, wow the sound rivals my original jvc kaboombox, the sharp has a little more clarity in the overall sound, the bass is even with both. The jvc cost me more in the 90s than the regular price of this sharp. Then I was one of the lucky ones that caught this sharp on a deal of the day great price I bought two, one still in the original box unopened in my storage. Reserved for later years.. thank you best buy and sharp
