Cray movie. Had a hard time finding it. It’s a pretty good movie. Honestly thought it would be a little better but still good. Has the dude from punisher Netflix series in it, can’t remember his name right now. But yeah good movie over all.
This movie did not get the marketing or wide theatrical release that it deserved. It is better than anything I have seen in 2017. This is probably the most realistically made and well put together prison movie I have ever seen. The writing and acting is top notch, the story is well paced, and it just captures prison life in the most scared straight type of way. It isn't a political movie about the prison systems. THIS IS A SURVIVAL MOVIE FROM START TO FINISH.
Excellent portrayal of gang life in/out of prison.
Shot Caller is an excellent portrayal of what prison gang life is like inside and outside of prison. It is a hard hitting, realistic story of how one's life can be instantly changed through the choices they make in life. It is a sober look at the choices one man has to make in order to survive the brutality of prison and protect his family. Not for children 16 and under, in my opinion.
