Birthday present for my 12-year old, and the employee sold me on getting an iPhone for my boy (okay, so it’s not the latest— it’s a 6s at $149 on a prepaid plan) but it still has all the iOS features I want as a parent. I love the Screen time feature which allows me to monitor which apps he can use, when, and for how long. I love it!! I’ll be switching my daughter over from her Samsung to a similar prepaid iPhone plan on her birthday!

What can I say, as an Apple head I had almost all previous iPhones. I needed a cheap one for my kid, age 10 to have his first smart phone and I didn't wan't to break the bank. I almost settled for a used one, when I found this at Best Buy. Of course, you are forced to stay with Simple Mobile, but they work in the T-Mobile network, where the rest of the family is, so it was not a big deal. Phone is excellent, and service is decent. Price is very similar to what we would be paying if we added him to our T-Mobile plan.

I was surprised to unbox this to find a brand new iPhone running the latest version of iOS. I haven't encountered any stutters, this thing is very well optimized
