Great Speaker for this Price Point
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for something inexpensive to quickly install on my front walk and driveway to greet guests during the holiday season. I ended up buying some green spaceship looking things from Amazon, which consisted of two full range coaxial speakers, each inside a 360 degree sound dispersing enclosure, and a subwoofer in an identical enclosure. The three pieces ran me about $300. It was awful. The sound quality was poor, the bass was weak to the point that I wouldn't even call it a subwoofer, and my wife thought they were ugly, to which I agreed with her. I really liked the rock looking speakers but finding inexpensive ones concerned me, as I didn't want something cheap looking with similar sound quality as the spaceships. I looked at the Niles and Stereostone ones, but was reluctant to spend $1000 on them. I stumbled upon these, read the reviews, and took a chance, and boy am I glad I did. The first pair I put in to service the driveway, where there are no real high shrubs to hide the spaceships, and I was so impressed, I bought another pair, and ripped the spaceships out. In the end, the whole deal cost me $550, which in my eyes is still a bargain, even if I had only bought 4 speakers, but I have 7. I'll try to recoup my losses on the spaceships, so I can buy more of these rocks for the back yard, to go along with my Niles GSS10 in ground sub I got for Christmas.

Great for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these on sale which was nearly half off. At the price I paid, I didn't expect the world, but was pleasantly surprised. The frequency range makes them a little light on the bass. This wasn't too big an issue for me since I'm putting in ground subwoofers. I purchased 2 pairs placed in the corners of my yard with a sub in between each pair. First time I fired it up, I was really surprised at how nice they sounded. Good highs, nice mids, a little tweaking on the crossover and now the blend real nice with the subs. Don't hesitate on buying these. I'm very happy with the performance. They look to be nicely constructed. Only had them up and running for about a month now but definitely no regrets here.

Good looking speakers with great sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading reviews on many different outdoor speakers I decided to go with these for my back yard/patio area and am very glad that I purchased them. The sound is very crisp and clean with these and they even give you a good amount of bass. They blend in well with the landscaping as well.

Very clear and powerful speakers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these for my backyard pool area. They are powerful enough to be heard from the front of the house. The kids also love them because they are hidden in the yard.

Sound pretty good for the $
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think the sound is better than expected for the price. You're not going to fill a large outdoor area with high volume deep bass sound. They are not designed for that. I picked these up on a BB daily deal. Only real complaint is that one of the speakers has a chip which exposes the inner layer of product and I don't know if this compromises the weatherproof feature. Will likely exchange.

Very good for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these at half off during a one-day sale in the winter. After recently reconfiguring my patio space, I have been using these for the last month or so. For the price, I think they sound really good though admittedly mine are usually competing with some background noise (e.g. distant traffic) so I wouldn't be able to appreciate higher quality sound anyway. I added 50' of underground wire to each (placed in a PVC conduit) so I could connect them through a window to a receiver in my sunroom. I wish the gauge of the included wire was a little more robust. I bought 14 gauge wire as an add on but these seem to come with 16 or 18 gauge. The paint seems a little glossy and unnatural and I found it a little hard to get a good match from a pile of other natural stones at a landscaping place. Still, for the price I recommend them highly. I might pick up a second pair when they are on sale again just so I might be able to replace these 4 or 5 years down the road. I've spent $50 before on stuff that gave me far less satisfaction than these!

Perfect speakers for outdoor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This wasa perfect find - Needed to add a couple of speakers around the pool area. Decent sound and pretty crisp. Don't expect much bass but not as issue as I have a sub in the patio area. Cable provided was not long enough - was not a problem. Daisy chained both speakers and works perfect. Too soon to tell how it withstands the outdoor elements. $69 for 2- great deal.

The speakers that could.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review."Alright Alright Alright".. I bought these speakers when they were $59.99 and not the "$99.99" price. I have to say I am really impressed with these speakers, all my guest were impressed too and now they want to buy a couple for their yards. Don't let the name brand fool you, I had the same misjudgment on these, and I was hesitant at 1st, even at $59.99. I believed these were going to be "filler" speakers, in the other words, background music. As soon as I connected these bad boys, they began tumping, I mean you could hear decent low sounds, bass was there but not overwhelming, and the vocals were easily understandable. I was playing house music and pitbull station on pandora. I didn't have them turned up all the way, in some moments I had to lower it because I was afraid the neighbors were going to complain that there was a dance club in my back yard. These do look like rocks and easily get lost in they yard next to trees, bushes, other rocks, grass, and other such landscaping. Insignia did a good job with these speakers. I have the Insignia bluetooth stereo running these speakers, NS-STR514. I highly recommend both items together. The speakers won't let you down, I promise you'll be happy with your purchase even at the higher price. I since then bought another pair and plan on running two speakers per channel at 4 ohms. (These are 8 ohms speakers).

- A:Answer Mine have been outside for 10 years and they still work. We obviously don't have issues with the cold here, but they do get LOTS of water and still work just fine. These are great speakers for the price!
