Mono?? Are You Kidding Me?????!!!!!!
Posted .Stay clear of this collection with the ridiculously high price. Every one of the selections in this box set are in boring mono! You have got to be kidding me. I had a lot of these when they were first released on 45 rpm and they were in true stereo. What's up Concord Records? Were you too lazy to master these in the original stereo and took the cheap route with mono? Pathethic to say the least. Would love to have all of Ray's ABC Paramount singles in a box set, but mono? No way would I pay the excessive price for this disaster!
No, I would not recommend this to a friendRated 5 out of 5 stars
Memo: OF COURSE THEY'RE MONO!
Posted .For the musically ignorant (like, say, the previous reviewer... and I don't), of COURSE these tracks are in mono. Since ABC (and almost every OTHER record label in the 60's) released their singles ONLY in mono back then, they'd almost HAVE to be, wouldn't they? You want stereo? Hunt down the albums. You want the classic singles the way they were released? HERE'S the place to find them... and they sound GREAT!! Concord is to be congratulated for a fine restoration job on these 45s!
