Heavy Bass & Generic Design
Posted .Pros mentioned:Bass, PriceCons mentioned:Bulky, Material, Mobile phonesIf you like heavy bass and have never had a problem with the fit of average earbuds, then Skullcandy's Indy are for you. The Bluetooth range is excellent (about 40 feet indoors) and the touch controls ensure that you don't have to press the buds deep into your ear to change the track, or to adjust the volume. They will play a full 4 hours before they need to be returned into their case which can then fully charge them 3 additional times (for a total playback of about 16 hours). Personally, I have narrow ear canals and simply could not get the earbuds to stay in. Even while sitting motionless at my desk they would suddenly pop out of my ears. I added my own 3rd party rubber tips from my wired earbuds, but even then - the earbuds would simply not stay in. The design is rather bulky and it appears that Skullcandy made very little effort to find a way to keep them in your ears. They come with no rubber fins and no way to hook onto your ear (or rest inside the ear). They are only held in place by the rubber tips and because they are rather bulky, their weight causes them to lean outwards and eventually fall out. ...I personally would not be able to use these while working out, or while on my bike as they would fall to the ground and be lost. I was also taken back by just how bass heavy they are. I found the bass even more amplified than my over-the-ear Beats Studio headphones. (Not stronger bass, but more pronounced - which I found annoying.) I quickly went to my equalizer to lower the bass so that I could find a more suitable balance with mids & highs. While I was initially excited that the Indy features touch controls, I found that they only responded about 75% of the time. When listening to music in the office, it wasn't a big deal - but, when working out or when on my bike, I simply couldn't take the time needed to fiddle with them until they respond the way I intended. Another distraction was just how much ambient noise they blocked out with the rubber tips. Because they sit so deep in the ear canal, most surrounding noise is blocked out. This is all well and good until somebody is trying to talk to you. I found that I had to remove them in order to communicate at all. And, when using them to talk on the phone, you cannot hear your own voice - which is odd and distracting. Unfortunately, Skullcandy did not program them to amplify or playback any of your own audio/voice when you are speaking on the phone - which is an unsettling experience. Apple's Airpods (which seem to be the most popular Bluetooth earbuds at the current time) are more expensive, but I believe they are worth the extra expense. They are smaller, have a longer battery life, fit much more snug and with a lower profile, they don't mute out all ambient noise, and they take up less space - even inside of their case. The wireless headphone experience truly is fantastic. If you love Bass and if earbuds generally fit well in your ears, you will enjoy the Indy. ...But, I hope that Skullcandy takes the time to redesign their wireless earbuds to offer a better fit, a lower profile, and a more balanced listening experience. ***See the attached pictures for a visual comparison with the size and fit of the Airpods***

Quality3 out of 5Value1 out of 5Ease of Use1 out of 5So I had a pair of the Sesh- loved them but lost them. So I wanted something with less of a "push touch" feature but still candy... so went with these due to touch sensitive and heard good reviews on bass. Wanted them for work and the gym.... well, a ft ter about 10 resets, 20 cut outs AT THE GYM(Which kills the vibe), plus them not staying in my ear... I'm returning and trading up to the galaxy buds to try them. I'm still planning on getting the Verts from candy for snow season... hoping that changing perspective on candy. But in regards to these, highly dont recommend. Get the sesh or go with the wired/wireless headphones as I've used those and they're great. Stay away from the indys.

Quality3 out of 5Value2 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5I’ve always loved the sound that skull candy products produce. But these things constantly disconnect for no reason. And now just after 7 months the left side stopped pairing or charging. Good thing I got the geek squad extended warranty. If this happens again I’ll have to bite it and go with AirPods.

Like them but...

Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5I really like this headset, it really only has one downside and it’s when you turn them on. I found that if I turn on the right before the left then I have to press on both to turn on, when if you press the left side first it turns on both sides. I don’t know if that is just me or what but that is the only downside so far. (Outside of not having anywhere else to put them in besides the charging station)

Best Yet
Posted .Pros mentioned:Bass, Battery life, Ease of useThese Skullcandy Indy in-earphones are the best I have had yet! The Indy is easy to setup/pair to your phone and once setup they are easy to use as they turn on and pair as soon as you take them out of the charging case. They also turn off automatically when put back in the case and closed. Sound quality with media is amazing with clear highs and mids and good bass. Outside noise is near zero. Call sound quality was very good as well. The touch controls are simple and easy to use. The fit of the Indy's was great for me being snug and comfortable.

Q: QuestionCan you use one by itself
Asked by Kenneth.
- A:Answer Mine let me use they right by itself while the left one is in the case.

Q: QuestionWith this work with any Bluetooth Version?
Asked by Simeon.
- A:Answer The Indy wireless earbuds feature Bluetooth 5.0 which is backwards compatible. Keep in mind that the wireless range will match the source of your audio. For Example: If you're actually connected with Bluetooth 4.2, you will only have a wireless range of about 33 feet.

Q: QuestionMy daughter bought these for,me,for Xmas and I just started the gym and wanted to use but the left ear dont work. It says pairing, beeps 3 times and I get nothing. There were no instructions with them and I dont know what the problem is...
Asked by Candice1234.
- A:Answer I had that problem after using them a while. I watched the Skullcandy videos on YouTube and still had the problem. I went to the Skullcandy website and emailed them. They responded within 24 hours. They sent me these directions: 1.) Place your Indy earbuds in the charging case. 2.) Remove Indy from your device’s paired list. 3.) Turn off Bluetooth mode on your device (mobile or computer) 4.) Power on only your right Indy earbud by removing it from the case. It will be in a non-connected state at this point. 5.) Tap the center of the earbud 4x. This will automatically power off the earbud and reset it. You will know this was successful when the light on the earbud turns red. If the 6.) light does not turn red please repeat step 5 until the light turns red. Place the right earbud back in the case. 7.) Now repeat those same steps only with the left earbud. (steps 4 and 5) 8.) Next, remove both earbuds from the case to have them automatically power on and begin pairing to one another. 9.) You’ll hear one beep indicating the buds have paired together, and then a voice prompt that will notify you that Indy is now “Pairing”, meaning it’s searching for your device. 10.) At this point, turn your device’s Bluetooth mode back on and re-pair to Indy. For additional support, feel free to watch this video: https://youtu.be/A-247Tr2e-l I had to repeat Step 5 two or three times for my left earbud before the light turned red. If the instructions don't work for you, you can contact Skullcandy at their website: https://contact.skullcandy.com/

Q: QuestionDo they have ambient sound like airpods or the Samsung
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No, they isolate the sound but that is what I was looking for when I got these. I wanted them to block out background noise. The JLab Audio - JBuds Air Sport True Wireless In-Ear Headphones have a great ambient noise feature on them. You can actually turn it off and on but the sound quality is no where near as good as the Skull Candy Indys.

Q: QuestionCan you buy one piece by itself? I seem to have lost the right side and I can't use the left side alone. I don't have the funds to just get a whole new set.
Asked by Pikaloma.
- A:Answer Unfortunately, the right earbud is the master earbud and the only one that can be used solo. However, you can get a new pair for a discounted price with our Fearless Use program. Q: QuestionCan these pair to more than a be phone at the same time? I have a work phone and a personal phone and I’m looking for a Bluetooth that can pair to both at the same time.
Asked by 2phones.
- A:Answer No the Indy true wireless earbuds do not. They only connect to one device at a time. The next generation of the Indy true wireless earbuds will be able to do that function.

Q: QuestionWill these work on Android phones?
Asked by Hidalgo.
- A:Answer Yes they will. Normal Bluetooth connection

Q: QuestionWill my skullcandy Indy buds be able to connect with the Apple Watch? If so, then how?
Asked by Adam.
- A:Answer Yes it can (FYI I have a series 3). Just make sure that it won’t connect to your phone because it can only be connected to one. Just go to settings and Bluetooth and connect
