    Decent for the price...

I got these about 6 months ago after i lost my skull candy titanium headphones. Unlike others, i had no trouble with the fit in my ears and only due to vigorous exercise do they occasionally come loose. These in ear earbuds are very finicky about ear canal size though. My fiance has small ears and cannot get them in her ears even using smaller tips. Luckily my ears just happen to be the right size. You might have to use trial and error for this type of headphone. The cord on these i really like. It has the flat rubberized feel cord. I am really bad about tangling the cords on my headphones and these are really easy to undo and have not gotten damaged from being tangled. I watch tv/movies on my phone in bed at night when my fiance is sleeping (she has to go to bed early) and i can easily untangle them in the dark by feel alone. The sound quality on these are great, no worse than the 50 dollar pair of skull candy that they are replacing. You might find better sounding pairs in the 80+ dollar range. It came with a small plastic box to store them in but it is pointless as the headphones barely even fit and it pops open all the time. Overall happy with the headphones. Having the mic lets me answer the phone without having to unplug them. Sound is good. Cord is nice.

    Worst Skullcandy has to offer.

This is my 7th pair of Skullcandy headphones. I have been a loyal fan since my first pair of Ink'd headphones many years ago. I have had Titans, Ink'ds, Full Metal Jackets, Heshs, and a few others. These are by far the worst in all aspects. I purchased these with the mic attachment thinking they would be on par with the quality of other Skullcandy products but i was wrong. The sound is horrific. I am not an audiophile but the bass seems to mute the rest of the sounds. Similar to a set of $2 ear-buds available at Walmart checkout lanes. The fit is my biggest grudge. I have tried all three silicone earpieces and none seems to agree with my ear. I am a runner and this is out of the question with these. I ran about half a mile spending most of the time wrestling with these and had to turn back. I have always run with Skullcandy so this was disappointing. The cord is terrible at resisting tangles. My last pair of Titans were covered in a mesh rope and it was wonderful at resisting tangles. Lastly, the cost was a big shock. The Ink'd headphones are better than these is every aspect yet the Smokin' buds cost me twice what they did. The only good things I can say is that they are durable and are excellent at blocking out outside noise (noise cancellation).

Good earbuds, sound quality is just fine and they do what earbuds are meant to do. The flat wire makes me think it'll last a bit longer than my previous SkullCandy earbuds, and the 2 year free replacement guarantee I got makes these an absolute deal. Now the issues: The button on the earbud wire is supposed to switch songs when you double-press and play/pause on single press. It plays/pauses just fine, but it's very hard to get it to register a double-press, so it often ends up just pausing the current song rather than switching songs. Even tightly in my ear the buds will start to slip out over time. The carrying case that comes bundled is very cheap and tiny plastic. You have to wind the earbuds just right or jam it in there to get it to close. That said it does look nice, but looks won't protect your earbuds. Overall, these are just earbuds, nothing too fantastic about them but nothing too terrible either. If you can get the same free replacement deal I did then get these, as I can guarantee that you won't want to pay an additional $30, $40+ dollars for earbuds you accidentally twisted too much.

    Good Sound. Poor Structure

I got these headphones back in August, after my Sony Bumpin Buds broke. At first i didn't want to change from Sony to Skullcandy, but i soon realized that my decision was pretty good. My ears are a little small (im a teen), so the ear buds would fall out when i would be playing basketball. That was a little bit of a downside, but i was able to live with it. One thing that is great about it, is that it has a push to talk feature, which helped when your iPod is in a hard to get to spot. But about 2-3 weeks ago, the right earbud just died. Literally. It just died. I was very disappointed, as i really did like the headphones and i was just getting used to them. These are a good buy, but i wouldn't recommend them for young children or people that are rough with headphones. I love my music, and i listen to it a lot, so i take precious care of my headphones. I do recommend this, only because they do have good sound quality, and the mic for the push to talk feature is pretty good.

They are alright if you get the coverage.

Bought these for use at work. Worked awesome for a week until I pulled them out one day and right earbud wasn't working. Then the track control is less responsive. Click it twice to skip the song will pause have to hit it several times and play with it for it to play the next song. Then when trying to activate Siri (holding down) it will listen for one second then alert it stopped listening 10 - 15 times before it actually lets you get your command out. Also the track control is on the left earbud would be ok if left handed or ambidextrous or even if the ear bud would stay in right ear. But earbud has bump that makes it fall out easier. I'm not complaining got them on sale and got the $5 two year coverage so they will be replaced for any malfunction, but if these are things that are gonna bother you do your research. You will replace these every week to 2 weeks. When you factor gas and time they may not be for you.

I recently went shopping for a replacment set of earbuds used mostly on my android phone. Had a pair of sony's ( dont rememmber the model ) but i used them for about 7 years. When they broke I tried a number of Skullcandy models. All of the smaller earbud styles had a very bad sound quality. I tried each pair with an MP3 player, my computer and my Phone. They all sounded ok for talk radio or a phone call, but for playing any kind of music they really fell short. No range whatsoever. After trying about 4 different pairs i decided to try a pair made for the I Phone.(EARPODS). Keep in mind i dont own an I Phone but i had nothing to loose. I was amazed at the difference. Yes i cant use the volume control or mic function. BUT the sound quality was amazing . I have nothing against SkullCandy, but for the same price as the i phone products I think they could do alot better. Just my opinion. Test drive them yourself. See what you like.

    Mic could be better

These earbuds are very comfortable. I'm able to keep them in for hours at a time without any slipping. Cleaning them is easy too. My one complaint when using them for phone calls is that the microphone picks up every little bit of background noise. The other person can hear it, but I can also hear it through the earbuds. It's very sensitive, and picks up when clothes are rustling near it. I don't like the disconnect button on the mic either. Many times I have accidentally disconnected a call when trying to simply grab the mic to adjust its position. For me, the cord is excessively long, and has a tendency to get caught on cabinet knobs and door handles. Thankfully the earbuds are soft so it doesn't hurt that much when they get yanked out of my ears in those cases. :) Overall, I do get a lot of good use from this product but am finding I use it more often for listening to music rather than using with a phone.

For the price, I have to say these are pretty good headphones. I wanted to replace my OEM earbuds on my iPhone but really didnt want to spend much. These headphones fit the bill nicely. The overly long cord was both a benefit and detraction, mainly as I use these headphones for exercise. When I put the iphone on the treadmill in front of me, because the cord was so long, I could never seem to get them out of my way. I launched my phone off the treadmill three times before I figured out I was going to need to hold the phone (which I didn't want to do). Since then, I have used an arm-band holder for the phone and now the long cord works great since I string it behind my back to keep it out of the way. The sound from these are good. My only criticism is they dont control volume like my OEM buds, but I knew that going in, so I can't really complain. Overall, good earphones and worth the price!!
