Good budget headphones but not great

I found them comfortable to wear for a couple of hours at a time on bus rides to/from work. They are a leather-like covering. They go on your ears but not over them. If you wear glasses, you'll need to place them a bit below the top of the ear to avoid your ears being sandwiched between your glasses earpiece and the heaphone cups. They do trap sweat in your ears. If it's warm or you are exercising, you'll feel even warmer wearing these. With audio sources that I could heavily adjust the source volume they were fine. But adjust that input volume too much and you get clipping. The volume on these is not great but tolerable. By having a music playing app on my phone that allowed me to adjust a preamplier setting I am generally able to use these. But if you've got an app/device that gives you only moderate amounts of volume levels out, you may find low level recordings hard to get loud enough. The headphones themselves only have about ten clicks of volume control. The controls are somewhat easy to use with exception to the on/off function. The plus and minus buttons double as volume controls (one short press at a time# and track changers #press and hold) if your device supports it. It's pretty easy to get used to this. The O button does work nicely as a pause button. However it is also used to link the device with blutooth device and to turn off/on. The linking will often require you to turn off the blutooth on your device and turn it back on to force a repairing. If you've got more than just this as a blutooth device, you may have to go into the phone or device settings to pick these headphones for linking. The on/off can get pretty confusing. Many times I've thought I had them off and they were still on and thought they were on fiddling with the phone to make it work only to discover they were still off. You have to carefully watch the hard to see little LED flash colors as you hold down the button. Its range for me was about 20 feet. Frankly that's about normal for any blutooth device. The further away you get from it the more likely you will lose pairing. However I use this with my cellphone on the go so am never more than about 5 feet away so works excellent without any dropouts at that range. I have the black ones and they look good without drawing much attention to the big headband and ear muffs in public. Also they are visible enough to let someone approaching you know that you probably won't hear them. #Very handy for annoying people trying to hand out literature or preach to you at bus and train stations). When I wore earbuds people were always trying to converse before I knew they were talking to me. So great "I don't want to talk to people now" message without having to say it. If you are looking for low priced wireless headphones that do the job with moderate audio quality, I recommend these. But if you are looking for great audio quality you need to be spending a good deal more and choose other headsets.

    Well Worth the Investment

After having earplugs (both wired and wireless) ripped out of my ears when the connecting cord wraps itself around something stationary when I'm not, I decided to try wireless headphones. I'm familiar with SkullCandy and confident of their products' quality, so I had no concerns about their line. I opted to go with the Uproar because of their close-to-the-head design and sealed construction. I spend a lot of time crawling around my race car's innards and in that situation, smaller and tighter Sealed is better. The white style offered for the Uproar also shows any grease that gets on them quickly, which makes my wife happy. Performance: these are well up to Skullcandy's quality standards, with all parts sealed internally and no external wires, open seams or screws showing. They are also comfortable so I've been able to wear them all day without my ears getting sore. Their performance isn't quite up to audiophile standards with the most noticeable weakness being the weighted response toward the bass. Before committing to them, I was a little concerned, about this but it turns out, I got used to the deep lows and subdued brightness of the highs very quickly and over time, those attributes have become transparent and largely non-issues. If I were able to put up with the distance the ear cups stand out, and concerned more with sound than ruggedness, I'd opt for the Hesh 2 and a flatter response, but for the quality and price, I'd say these are the best earphones you'll find.

I love these headphones, they work wonderfully with Android. The sound quality is very good in my opinion but I'm not an audiophile. They have good volume as well and I can use them when I mow the lawn and have no trouble hearing my music. Speaking of mowing the lawn in 90° plus temperatures, they are fairly comfortable and don't cause me to sweat any more than usual. One thing I have found is to always adjust the headphones for a bit bigger than you think you need. The lower they sit on my ears the longer I can wear them and have them be comfortable. They work surprisingly well for phone calls as well, I have had no complaints. The controls work great as well for volume up and down. The power button is also used to hang up from a phone call. The only big annoyance I have had is when using these headphones with Windows 10 but this is no fault of the Uproars. They connect no problem but Windows configures them as hands free audio by default and the sound quality is very poor. If you connect the headphones and then right click on the volume icon in the system tray and select playback devices. In there you can disable the hands free profile and then the headphones will connect in audio only mode. Just remember to enable the hands free if you need to use the mic again.

These are basic Bluetooth headphones that are very easy to set up and use. The audio quality is SUPERB!! Music that I've listened to for years never sounded better-sharp clear highs and smooth deep bass. It's almost as if I'm listening to new HD recordings! Play back of all music is as least as good as CD or flac even if its "only" a 320kps MP3 audio file I don't ever recall being this pleased with any audio product before. Only one minor shortcoming for those of us with larger heads: there should have been a bit more expansion. Even fully opened, I find them a bit snug a a bit uncomfortable after listening for more than an hour. However, the crisp clear high quality audio makes them a great device for ANY type of music enjoyment. AND- at a very reasonable price. The booklet says "battery life about ten hours". I have listened to music for more than 12 hours over the course of three days before a recharge was needed and they recharge in less than two hours using any USB port on your computer. High would highly recommend them to any audiophile.

Poor Build, Poor Range, Poor Bluetooth

Picked them up on sale for $34.99 and thought I was getting a GREAT deal based on the reviews. Alas, very disappointed and promptly returned them. PROS - Sound is good for a $34.99 Bluetooth headphone. Bass-forward emphasis. CONS - Small soundstage. Sound separation is non-existent, so sound is rather "compressed" feeling. - Cheap build. Although light, the plastic is low-grade and feels like it could break easily. - Poor Bluetooth reception. Starts skipping at less than half the advertised distance. - Poor Bluetooth pairing. Does not pair with many Samsung devices built in 2014 (TV, etc.). - Average fit. While they are somewhat comfortable, they do put a little more pressure on the ears due to the simplistic design. Overall, this is good for children & teenagers, first-time Bluetoothers, or just very casual listening at a bargain price. However, right now for only $15 more, you can get the superior sounding Sony MDR-ZX330BT on sale for $49.99 (Reg. $99.99). The sound, build quality, and comfort are much better, while the Bluetooth range is FAR superior.

Product was selected for my kids because wired headsets would always tangle on long vehicle trips causing frustration and damaged/knotted wires. While looking for a kid friendly wireless solution before Christmas, the price point jumped out at me (well under $50, $39.99, I think). The claimed battery life (10 hours) sealed the deal for me as several contenders claimed 6-8 hours and cost more. Pros: Easy to sync . . . no problems. Synced quickly with iPhones 5/6, iPod 7 gen, iPad2/3, and Samsung Galaxy 6. I was also impressed with 10 hour battery life (hope it holds-up). Cons: Perceived durability--unsure how long product will hold-up to regular use (reason for mark down). * I have not tested a phone call yet to gauge mic sensitivity in noisy environments/call experience nor tested in dense Bluetooth use environments (crowds) to gauge signal saturation/interference/battery life (only normal household/vehicle use). Overall, very pleased and my family likes the fit--no complains of too much movement with light activity (i.e. walking or using a treadmill). We did not want want to spend big bucks on headsets the kids would probably break or lose. For the price, I am pleased with the performance/value and would buy again (if the battery life continues to hold-up for a decent amount of time).

These headphones have awesome sound quality, they pair up easily w/our phones (my wife has a pair also), they're pretty comfy & can be worn quite a while before your ears need "rest", & we love the range on them....I can leave my phone on the porch while mowing (so I don't get sweat all over it), & my wife can leave her pbone in the bedroom & go to the other end of the house to the laundry room....no distortion! We love being able to answer a call & talk via the headphones, & also love that you can press & hold the plus or minus buttons to skip a song or go back....it's nice not having to actually go to/pick up your phone to change songs! You can also crank the volume enough to drown out background noise, such as loud overhead music at the gym. The only reasons I didn't give 5 stars are minor: my wife has a little trouble w/them sliding forward on her head if she bends over to do something like get laundry out of the dryer, she really wished they came in pink like the Beats by Dre, & we wish they had been a little cheaper ($50 is way better than the price of Beats, but still seems a bit steep for headphones, but that's just an opinion of course). Other than that, we're 100% satisfied & have definitely been getting our $50 worth out of them!

Purchased these yesterday and was a little skeptical due to the low price. The reviews seemed good, so I went ahead with buying them and SO glad I did. They sound amazing! You can really hear the bass, and they do not distort, no matter how high I turn them up. They also look good wearing them. Also love they are not to bulky. The fact that the speakers don't completely cover your ear is a plus, and wearing them is much more comfortable. I had a pair of Bose in the past, and the fact that the speaker wrapped around my entire ear made them very hot to wear, especially in the summer or at the gym. Pairing them to my Android was a breeze, and they sounds absolutely amazing using my Spotify. Walk, don't run to get these. This is a rare example of actually getting more than you paid for.
