I purchased one of these in the past from Best Buy. It outlived all my other lightening cords. They break next to the connection that plugs into the phone. This has a three year warranty will never buy anything else.

My son used this for about 9 months and though the cord didn’t break at usual spot like on other cords still have a short in it somewhere
