Great Game that REALLY stands out from the restJune 18, 2014
The Sniper Elite series has been, up until likely this game, more of a "cult-classic" for those of us that admire a perfectly timed shot, from several hundreds of meters, going unnoticed, while having to compensate for wind, gravity, and sound cover. This game introduces MANY great mechanics to the series, most of which can't be found in the likes of Battlefield 4, Call of Duty, or anywhere else, such as the well-known X-RAY Kill Cam, showing how each round impacts the target, such as the circulatory, muscular, & skeletal systems in minute details. This feature now also applies to VEHICLES! Yes, really! Now, with very impressive and splendid detail, you can see how a .30-06 round will wreck lighter vehicles, but only with very well placed shots, but do not worry if you don't have precise aiming down yet, the game offers, but does not require, very valuable assists when scoping in, and as such, can be enjoyed by anybody, literally, ANYBODY. There are many different approaches to EVERY situation that arises, you want to go in, guns blazing like a berzerking gunslinger? Go for it! Want to sneak around, popping open Axis skulls from a secluded perch, enjoying the scenery? Go for it! This game holds no judgements against your playstyle, it is up to YOU to succeed in this vast battlefield. Difficulty ranges from simple point-click action, to literally going back to the 90's where you had to get a pen and several pieces of scratch paper to map each soldiers constantly shifting movements in relations to other guards, and even snipers, but fear not! There are some things you can do to stay in hiding and unleash those reapers of death upon the enemy, such as the deep sounds of a rocket artillery barrage concealing your rifle fire, or an *innocent* speaker's malfunctions, causing it to blare out with inane noise. All in all, this series has, and will continue to be, the definitive go-to place for having a great time while exploring a well-planned and executed mix of alternate & real-world history, which raises many questions as to how a single bullet could have changed EVERYTHING we know about today, and the effects of WW2.
I would recommend this to a friend
