I decided to write this review to help people figure out which one fits them better. I am older (30's) and prefer Socom overall. I like the concept and guns of WAW but I found it tough to play. I like MW2 better than WAW better graphics and guns. COD games are very very fast paced and i think better suited to younger players its more about reaction speed and reflexes. the open mic system is a joke and you will get so sick of the 10 year olds. there is alot more s#@$ talking on socom but your much more likely to find a decent group of guys strategizing and talking to win as a team. only one talks at a time so its not just noise or rap music you hear constantly. Socom is a slower more strategy and tatical team playing game. I personally excel at it. In Socom im usually middle to high on the leader boards. in COD im usually middle to last on the leader boards. The most important thing is know there are cheaters in all these games. They use glitches, hack and modify thier system for advantage and use special rapid fire controllers. So when you get smoked and it seems unreal - dont blow a seal its probably a cheater.

I will warn you now, if you have never played any of the Socom games up until now, it will be very difficult for you. Socom Confrontation is an underappreciated game. When the game first released it was hard to get into a game and play, but after updates and patches the game runs beautifully. The surround sound in this game is amazing and you can hear bullets whizzing by your ear. The graphics are top notch, but every once in a while there are sometimes glitches. If you are having trouble trying to figure out whether or not to buy this game here is some advice. If you are the type of gamer that gets a game for online this is the game for you. If you are the type of gamer that focuses more on single player game, don't get it. This is very underrated, but if this game was reviewed right now, it would be considered top notch.

Socom has been Playstation's greatest online franchise since it first entered the online gaming community back in the early 2000's. Socom has never been known for its graphics, always its gameplay! Not sure why the guy above me gave it a 1, especially if you are rating a video game off its beta (smh). The beta went well, similar to how Halo 3's beta was. The best part about Socom is its clan features, and lobbies for online play. I like the idea of not being thrown directly into a game, but rather being able to choose through the lobby feature. As for clan features, you have the ability to elect clan leaders, play other clans online, see everyone in the clan ( not just a clan tag like COD4), and have your actual clan record displayed at all times. Im pleased to say that the socom franchise made a great move with this video game, and i must say, ITS A MUST BUY! IF you enjoy gaming online, then this game will not collect dust on your shelve.
