Great sounding headphones for the price!
|Posted .Overall, these are absolutely great for all genres of music. Deep bass, high treble and good midrange punch. Only con is that the neck portion seems a little small and tends to slide around when moving around. Otherwise great purchase.

sound on those headphones is excellent
|Posted .I use my headphone mostly on my runs. Noise reduction is out of this world. One of the sides is sliding of my ear, don't know why. Neck bar is well balanced to keep it on my neck during run. Great headphones

Really like to love these heaphones but...
Posted .Really like to love these BT heaphones. They sound great, looks good and fit snugly inside the ears comfortably and without pain. But disappointingly, Sol Republic missed the most important part of owning BT headphones...BT RECEPTION! The BT signal of the Shadow is weak and sensitive to movement. I've tried 2 pairs and they both performed identically. It annoyingly cuts in and out when placed in the back pocket of my jeans while walking or doing other activities. I have to mention that there isn't a problem with BT signal when placed in front pockets. Took them on a 30 mile bicycle ride and it did the same thing the entire way. Mind you the distance between the phone and Shadow was just less than two feet from the inside of my jersey's back pockets. Other than that, everything is up to par with more expensive BT headphones. For those complaining about the collar falling off, look for an appropriate size S-biner or any closed type hook to hold the 2 wires together (see picture) keeping the collar from twisting/falling. Problem solved! My rating for each category. Sound 5 Fit 4 Design/functionality 3 Durability 4 Battery life 4 BT Reception 2 Looks 4 Call quality 5 Charging time 5

Nice product but has problems keeping connections
Posted .I would like to say that I really enjoy the Shadow headphones that I purchased but I am having a problem with single between my devices and my headset. I have a IPod 5th Generation running IOS 8.4 and a IPad Air 2 running IOS 8.4 and I have problems when I am outdoors with the single being lost. Normally I run my stuff off of ITunes and listen to my IPod which I keep in my pant pocket and when I am in a outdoor environment I will loose single or it will break up. The same happens with the IPad I will be listening to music put it in my backpack and will almost always loose the single or it will break up so much that I have to switch back to my regular wired headphones. When I am indoors I do not have the same single problem. I would think that there shouldn’t be much of a problem when the devices are less then 2 to 3 feet from each other. (ie. pant pocket or my backpack over my shoulder which is even closer.) The IPod seems to keep a single better then the IPad. I have tryed to contact Sol Republic about the problem but haven't heard back from them in weeks. Overall I like the light weight of the product, the sound and the construction but for overall reliability Id have to say Indoors great Outdoors ok.

Love the Bluetooth function
|Posted .As soon as I saw that this was available at Best Buy. I saved up some money and went to the closest store to buy it. And I'm really happy to have bought it, because I use it most of the time. It's comfortable and the quality is great.

Sounds great, but...
Posted .These headphones sound pretty darn good, and when new, battery life was short but acceptable(about 7 hours). They are now ~3 months old, and I'm lucky of I get 4.5 hours on a full charge(24 hours of charging), and the right side earbud has stopped working. The bluetooth has ok range, definitely not the 30 feet advertised, more like 4-6 feet...nothing to brag about. Talking on phone was average, I could hear well, they could here me most of the time...sometimes bluetooth would cut out. Fit was ok, had to really shove them in my ears to get them to stay. Worse thing about these is they don't stay on your neck. I can't count how many times I have had someone come running up to me telling me I dropped them and I didnt even realize it. Thank goodness for honest people. guess I'm going back to wired headphones. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking for decent mic and good sound quality. Can't recommend to anyone. Not worth 100 bucks. ff they ever drop to 30 bucks I would say go for it. Has 1 year parts&labor warranty,so I'll submit a claim. Will let you know how that works out.

Q: QuestionHow is the mic for phone calls? Can the other party hear you clearly?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I use these for phone calls all the time walking around my college campus between classes. If I ever get a complaint from the person I'm talking to, it's that they can hear the people around me too clearly. The mic is fantastic.

Q: QuestionHow are these for long runs?
Asked by Kris.
- A:Answer I can't answer for runs. But I can tell you that I have had these on for a several hours at a time tilling my property, getting jerked all over the place by the tiller when it hits roots. I have also cleared brush with these while jumping in and out of the bed of my truck loading branches. And I have worn them on my utility tractor clearing high grass and small trees. All of these activities ended with very sore muscles, lots of sweat, joints that have ached from the jolting. Not a single time did these come out of my ears.

Q: QuestionDoes the cord retracts in and out of the main unit
Asked by Peter.
- A:Answer The cord does not retract in or out, it is a fixed position. I was worried about that as well. The cord is plenty long. I am 6'5" and have a long neck and it is not a problem for me at all. Absolutely great ear buds.

Q: QuestionDo I have to charge it? If so, how long does the battery last?
Asked by Dab.
- A:Answer Yes you have to charge them. They come with the charging cord. All you have to do is plug that cord into a existing usb cell phone charging outlet. I used the wall plug that I use to charge my iPhone. My charge lasted about eight hours which is pretty good for the price.
