SOL REPUBLIC x Motorola - DECK Wireless Speaker - LemonLime

I've been in the market for a bluetooth speaker for awhile. There are so many of these things out on the market, I just wasn't sure which one was going to be worth the money. So I narrowed it down between the SOL Republic DECK and the BOSE mini. Best Buy had demos for both set up and I have to say, the DECK blew the mini away. Because the deck projects the sound from a flat surface, I was able to get a full sound profile from a variety of locations, where I felt that I needed to be right in front of the BOSE to get the ideal sound. The DECK also is much better for travel because it is slim. I can throw it in my laptop bag and hit the road. Bose has the name but SOL has the sound. If you're looking for a fun, great sounding speaker, this is it! I took a chance on SOL and I don't regret at all. SOLdier 4 Life!

I love my little box. The price was great. Quality is great. The sound is amaziing and loud enough to lay outside. Range was perfect. I went from one room to the next with no cut off. The ease of connection was best. If i was in my car I just set my phone over it and it would turn on. So need messing with it while driving. Would purchase again.

This is definitely the best speaker in it's class. Having tested this against all the others of similar size, this one puts out the best sound. The multi user mode is extremely unique and very handy. Up to five devices can connect at the same time and the transition between devices is instant. One weird drawback is with an Android device you can't turn the volume down all the way to mute it. This was not an issue with an iOS device. And it on occasion seems to drain down the battery pretty fast. Not sure if this is related to me doing something different, because on other days it will last all day. This is still pretty new, but once it reaches the end of it's generational life cycle and comes down in price I will be buying a second one.

This is a very convenient device it is very light and easy to hook up and it can be connected to 5 different devices. It is cool that when my brother comes to visit and listen to music he can play his Ipad music and I can play from my bluetooth tablet or phone the songs we want to hear. I have not used the phone answer option yet but that is cool too. The range is fantastic and the sound is very good considering the size of speaker it is just convenient. I wish the lights would stay on as it is playing. The price is a bit high; I think it should have cost at least 79.99 I paid $149.99.

Great device lets you switch up DJs so one person isn't managing a playlist all night, it lets other people play their music. Very portable take it golfing all the time, battery last a long time. Volume is great for outdoors while staying good quality.

I love this product! It was a Mother's Day gift from my family, and I use it all the time. I use it when I'm working out, getting ready for the day.....anytime I want a little background music. I recently used it when hanging out with friends, and everyone was impressed with the sound quality and volume. The heist mode is awesome.....allowing a handful of people to connect to the device at the same time. If you need a small Bluetooth device for listening to your downloaded music, I can't recommend this speaker enough!

Great sound quality and volume. Hijack mode allows up to 5 people to connect in and play their music from their device. Each person linked to the speaker then has their own color that lights up on the speaker when their music plays. The kids love this feature. It was really easy to set up. They figured it out on their own.

I've owned bluetooth speakers for years and thoroughly research all purchases I make. In buying a speaker, you would usually think to buy the best sounding one and that should be it. In this case I did not do that because of the unusual features of this speaker. Know this right away - the Bose mini sounds tons better than this, if you want the best sounding speaker in this price range, there you are. Listen to the Bose yourself, it's amazing that such a small device can generate that much sound. BUT you won't be able to switch music on the fly with five friends on the Bose, won't be able to walk around the house without your music breaking up and most importantly the Bose does not have an output jack, that's a huge feature. If someone shows up with another speaker and I already have my Deck going in heist mode, they can hook their speaker up to mine and the party just gets louder. The flexibility of this thing is what sold me. It just depends on how you plan on using your speaker. If it's gonna sit on a shelf, go with the Bose. If you plan on using it to entertain friends, this is the one to get.
