The Best

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I love my sono system and adding two of the single speakers to my upstairs bedrooms makes it complete. Adding the speakers were a little different than the original where you walk around the room giving you iPhone connection the full range of the room. I also added one to the garage because I like listening to the TV or Music out there. If you’re thinking to do away with the wires and other complications of a full range system just make the investment each piece at a time. ❤️❤️❤️

Caution: You'll Buy More!
|Posted .My 29-year old Millennial son turned me on to my first Sonos device - a Play:3 Speaker - in the early summer of 2017. In less than a month, I had to have more and purchased a Play:1 Speaker. Now, my wife refers to me as an overgrown teenager as I gleefully blast a wide variety of my Pandora music streams throughout our 4,300 sq ft home. The simplicity of installing my Sonos Play:1 Speaker almost equals the audio quality coming from this little music maker. If you've never heard a Sonos demo at Best Buy you should do so. Make music an even bigger part of your home life.

Awesome surround speakers
|Posted .I waited almost two years to purchase a Sonos surround system. I purchased the sound bar, sub and two Play 1 speakers to replace a Vizio system. WOW by far the finest surround sound system I've ever heard and owned. Tons of features and settings through the Sonos app can make these speakers blend in and act subtle or Sing loudly as stand alone speakers. I frequently play music through my Sonos and these fill my room with balance and purity.

Fantastic speaker
|Posted .I own quite a few Sonos speakers and I think the Play 1s are the star of the show. They're small an well built and the price is great for the quality you get. The sound from such a small speaker is amazing. I think it sounds better than the larger and more expensive Play:3. The Play:5 sounds the best but it is the most expensive and the largest. The Sonos set up could not be easier, the software is great and is updated frequently while at the same time the speakers aren't physically updated, so you don't have to run out every year and upgrade to the newest hardware because they support it continually.

Best-in-Class connected Speaker
|Posted .This speaker will make our collection complete. Each room of our home has at least 1 Sonos speaker in it (including the master and guest bathroom). The Sonos speakers offer great sound, nice aesthetics and terrific connectivity with all of our favorite streaming / in-home music content. Don’t hesitate to buy one. Be frustrated that you didn’t get them sooner.

Very Good Sound
|Posted .I would have given this product 5 stars if it had 2 additional things. It is not blutooth, and not rechargeable. It is pretty much permanent and must be plugged in at all times. It works with your home's wifi and can only stream music, therefore if you want to stream anything else you will still need a device that can do that. Having said that the sound is great, but a speaker that cost this much should provide excellent sound. I mounted this permanently in my bathroom so I can listen to music from my phone in the mornings.

SONOS earns their own 5 Starts
|Posted .Great sound quality through out any room. I have 3 pairs of the Play 1's, 1 pair of the Play 5's and a set of Play 3's hooked up to my SONOS Sound Bar and Sonos Subwoofer for surround sound. I have them set up all over a 3200 sq ft house and patio. Like I said I have zero problems with overall sound quality and clarity. Best speakers on the market of their kind. Best thing is you can add as many as you need for the space you have in your house or office.

Excellent wireless speaker. Have 3 sets
|Posted .We bought Sonos system. Sound bar, subwoofer. And Play1 speakers for new home in Palm Springs that had been pre wired but wanted best wireless technology and controlling everything from phone or IPad is very easy. And very easy to set up. The sound quality , ease of pairing and set up is well worth the price!!! You can play different music in different rooms!!!

Q: QuestionWhy would you limit me to 1 Sonos Play 1 when I purchase. If I am using this as a home theater I need two.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer They're sold separately because some people only need one at a time. For example, I initially bought two for my home theater system...Then I bought another for my bathroom, then one for the kid's room, then one for patio, then one for the study. (All bought at different times) So, I'm actually glad they sell them individually.

Q: Questiondo you need a bridge to use a sonos speaker?
Asked by jg.
- A:Answer No, they now work off just your home's WiFi. You may need a bridge or boost if your WiFi isn't strong enough. To initially setup the speaker you may have to use the provided Ethernet cord to plug into your router. After it's setup you can disconnect and place the speaker anywhere in your house (with an electrical outlet).

Q: QuestionHow are these speakers powered? And how long will they play on a single charge?
Asked by Shoap13.
- A:Answer The thing all the pictures don't show you is the power plug. They plug into a outlet. The pictures are a bit misleading

Q: Questioncan you stream non-paid music services (i.e. Pandora, Spotify, etc)
Asked by jeffwity.
- A:Answer You can stream non paid Pandora but for Spotify you have to have the paid version. You can stream Xm for I think $2 a month. You can also stream Amazon music that you own, not prime music yet. Also, anything on your iPod or phone and iheart radio and local radio stations.

Q: Questionsorry for dumb question , but which receiver or amplifier would be best to start off with. I'm thinking of getting two speakers but not sure if sound bar or subwoofer etc thanks my knowledge is limited ??
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer You don't need a receiver or amp. As long as you have wifi and using the sonos app, you can stream your music what is on your cell phone or tablet, or by using amazon, Pandora or any others. In the sonos app, you just set it up as stereo (left and right speakers). I have the sonos sound bar and sub and the sound is unbelievable. I have it connected to my oled tv. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionCompatibility questionI have an iphone 4 and hubby has an android. Can we both download the app? And play from either phone?
Asked by sassy.
- A:Answer Yes. I use it from my phone, laptop, wife's phone, iPad, computer... whatever is nearest. The phone is more or less a remote control.

Q: Questionlooking into buying speakers for house party, any high volume speaker recommended?what should I be checking for when buying a speaker? how do I know the Volume capabilities?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The Sonos can handle some pretty high volume without any issues. Depending on how big the room and how big the sound you are looking for you may need a few of them. You can also do some really cool stuff with more than one, party mode, or individual control. Different volume levels on each with them playing the same song or each speaker playing their own playlist independent of each other.

Q: QuestionDo these have an aux input? Want to be able to hook it up to other components (record/cd player etc) without buying another expensive sonos product
Asked by gigi.
- A:Answer No. The play 1 does not have an aux input or any input except ethernet. However, the connect has the ability to hook up your record player and cd player (provided that the record player has a phone preamp). You do not need a receiver or an amplifier as the speakers have an amp in them. The play 5 does have an headphone style input...and the playbar has optical audio input to play from your tv. It's a lot to put out at once probably but the connect is your best bet if you want to use play 1 with a record player. I have a lot of play 1 and a connect and I couldn't be happier with the system.
