There is not much to be said about blank DVDs. They either work well, or not at all. In my experience, the Sony DVDs work just fine. I typically write to a high capacity (above 90 percent) and have not had any issues. I can burn at 16x, also with no issues. I have not witnessed any degradation of data over time, and have virtually no issues with these. One time, out of about two hundred DVDs used, I had one DVD that could not be recognized. There were no issues I could see visually, such as scratches or blemishes. Two different computers would not recognize the DVD as blank or containing information. It was just, dead. A half percent failure rate is acceptable for something value priced. And that is where these stand out. The value is incredible.

No failures yet with this brand of DVD disks after using more than half of them - better % than I have found with other brands.

Some trouble getting discs to load error free. Some discs must be inserted multiple times before being read properly.
