Awesome TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had many TV Brands but the Sony's have outlived all our other brands. Wanted a larger TV to replace the Sony we already had for years over our fireplace. So we gave the old one to our daughter and got us a new one. Awesome picture!!! We paid half of what we paid for our old Sony but with so many more features now. Set up to internet and everything else was seamlessly easy! We have had this for a few months now and couldn't be any more impressed!

XBR49-800D
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great set for the money because it has HDR, Android TV and decent sound. I especially like Android TV because it has more apps than the Samsung TV I purchased before Christmas.

Review is for Sony TV model XBR-49X800D
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall TV is excellent and i love it. Really really happy with the colors and picture quality. I had doubts before buying about motion lag for movies as it is on 60 hz. But with Triluminous Display technology it produces an awesome picture without any motion lag. It also enhances the SD quality which is great. Almost forgot to mention Side Angle Viewing awesomeness, contrast never degrade with wide viewing angle.

Love the TV.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great TV. The 49" size is perfect for a smaller apartment. I'm glad I made the decision not to get the 43". I have only had one issue and it's with the YouTube app. Sometimes it fails to launch. Had to restart the TV with a hard reboot to get it to work again. Have not had a problem with any other aspect of the TV.

Great TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a little different going from a 72" to a 50 " TV but I am very satisfied with my purchase. I love the picture and the Best Buy folks did an awesome job getting me set up and ready. Thanks Guys! You rock!

It's a beautiful TV - But not BT speaker friendly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Why this TV doesn't support Bluetooth headphones or speakers is just a head scratcher. It can be paired with BT keyboards and other like items, but not bluetooth audio items. It's not that the BT is "missing" - all that it would require is a firmware update or flash from Sony. People have been complaining about this for years it seems (at least according to my Google search on why it won't pair with my BT speakers and headphones), and Sony has refused to fix the problem. It's been said that even Sony headphones cannot pair with this TV! I have two of these Bravia series TV's in my home a 75" and now the 49" and they were far from inexpensive as far as their costs. Buying a $50 BT dongle should have been the LAST thing I needed to purchase to make these TV's friendly for bluetooth based audio. Other than that, it's a beautiful TV with an incredible picture - it's a bit dark, but fooling around with the internal settings fixes the issues.

Very enjoyable SmartTV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was time for me to upgrade to a 4K smartTV. I do not regret getting this Sony 49 which has a VERY nice screen display. The remote navigation is handy and very enjoyable, having the ease of switching to and from the Apps, etc. and TV watching mode. I'm a frequent "YouTuber" and I must say that in general this TV WiFi signal connection performs quite well.

Q: QuestionIs this TV supposed to stream Netflix in 4k? I was trying several of Netflix's 4K content yet all of them would only show 1080 when I check with the display button.
Asked by Kodiak918.
- A:Answer If you have a Premium Netflix account you can stream a few things in 4K, they are adding more and more as they come available. There is also an App called UltraFlix that has a pretty decent selection of 4K movies and shows.

Q: QuestionDoes the TV gets really hot after several hours watching shows or playing with the PS4. I have a small wooden entertainment center and the TV will have 1 inch left on top and 2 1/2 inches for the sides. Is that enough ventilation. Thanks.
Asked by Technof23.
- A:Answer Hi Technof23, I am afraid that your setup does not give the TV proper ventilation. There should be a clearance of at least 11 7/8 inches (30 cm) above the TV set and 4 inches (10 cm) on each side. If mounted on the wall, allow at least 4 inches (10 cm) of clearance at the bottom of the screen. I hope this helps. Best regards, -Mark

Q: QuestionIs the HDR conpataible with the xbox1s and ps neo
Asked by Jsteel411.
- A:Answer In order to get the xbox 1s to recognize the full capabilities to this TV Go to Home>settings>video inputs and change the HDMI to enhanced. Once I did this it was fully recognized as a 10 bit HDR panel.

Q: QuestionWhat processor does this model use?
Asked by ryan.

Q: QuestionDo the back legs of the stand have places to thread hdmi cables and power cord so they are not visible when watching tv? Tv will be on top of a stand and components will all be underneath inside cabinet. Thanks
Asked by Dave.
- A:Answer Yes, the base of the tv is equipped with little tabs on the back. The tabs can be flexed out to route your cables underneath and along the base to make them invisible in the front.
