Got this 49-inch Sony 900E to replace a Samsung MU8000 49-inch set. Blows the Samsung away with the Full Array Back Lighting w/ local dimming (FALD); Worth the extra pennies for that alone. Smart TV interface, Android, is a little slow and jerky but workable; can be replaced with a Roku or AppleTV if needed. This TV is located in a bright living room and the brightness of the TV set is good enough to cut through glare (set at '20'). Over the air (OTA) network channels look good upscaled and I have the "Reality Creation" setting set at 'Auto' which I think helps it look good in my eyes. The "CinemaPro" setting is probably the best preset for a majority of people that don't want to tinker with the settings. All-in-all a great TV set that I would highly recommend while supplies last!!!

If you are looking for an affordable HDR television with beautiful colors and deep blacks, then this is an excellent choice.

Bought this in 2017. I am pleased with it. I play PlayStation 4pro and watch sports and movies. Everything is crystal clear. HDR is very noticeable. My only gripe is I wish I got the 55” instead. But, as long as the specs remain up to par, I’m keeping this bad boy until it dies. Highly recommended.

Customers often highlight the exceptional picture quality, describing it as amazing and great for gaming. The TV's user-friendly setup is also widely appreciated. While many find the price reasonable, some consider it expensive. The remote control receives some criticism, but the overall sentiment is positive.
