Customers are pleased with the picture quality, describing it as beautiful and great. They also find the TV easy to set up and are happy with the price. However, some customers have concerns about the TV's lifespan, with a few reporting that their TV only lasted two years. Others have complaints about the sound quality and the remote control.
First off this TV is large. Picture quality is clear and detailed. This TV not being OLED does not produce the extreme blacks in low light but does produce black deep enough for watching HDR content in lower light room. However, in daytime viewing or with lights on in the room this thing is bright. Much brighter than OLED. Sony’s software and 4K chipset is phenomenal with all types of signal. This set uses LG panel with ISP technology so viewing angle is not an issue. I looked at and bought an LG and actually had both this Sony and the comparably priced LG in my house at the same time running same HDR 4K signal from Apple TV to both. The Sony hands down was far clearer, with better uniformity’s on both color and black screens. I returned the LG to Costco. Setup was easy, preset picture settings were good but cinema pro was outstanding on 4K HDR. It integrates easily with my Pioneer Elite Atmos system. I must say I’m very picky when it comes to picture quality as I’m a retired television design engineer. There are better sets but for the price but you won’t be disappointed with this Sony XBR 75” TV at this price point. Enjoy...

Love the picture about 80% of the time! Very expensive price for a 75” that has panel issues......It seems this model has an edge lit panel, and is NOT subtle while doing it! The left lower corner has what appears to be a flash light in corner that illuminates a large triangle of about 8 inches toward middle of screen. It can be seen clear as day on dark backgrounds. The other corners have same visual effect too.... The other 3 corners are much less pronounced but still there..... Overall it is has very nice crisp picture, but that flash light effect at an $1800 price point is very disappointing. I looked online to try and modify and tune picture for best color values and picture for my type of viewing with no change to this annoying problem. Sony put out a cheap panel backlighting option on this midgrade TV......... Disappointed is an understatement! I looked and researched extensively before I spent my entire Tax return on this TV. I was hoping I would not make have to make a purchase of this dollar amount again for at least another 7 -10 years...... Time will tell how long this Sony will last!!! The only thing I have going is I purchased the Geek Squad 5 year extended warranty...... Yeah at an Extra $480

Easy to use and set up was a breeze. I ran all 4 HDMI inputs and an opti cable. Sony sound bar and PS4 with a 4K Apple TV. It’s the best system for the price great picture and refresh rate.
