Customers value the 85" Class LED X850G Series 4K UHD TV for its exceptional picture quality, large screen size, and affordable price. Many customers rave about the stunning visuals and vivid colors, while others appreciate the ease of setup and user-friendly interface. However, a few customers have expressed concerns about the TV's short lifespan, lack of local dimming feature, and blooming around logos.
It had been a while since I bought a TV (2012), so I was looking for something that felt like a SERIOUS upgrade. This model by Sony blew me away at the display in the Queens Best Buy, but I initially thought it was too big. I went home and did my internet research and decided that not only was this ok size-wise but that it was a class-leader in screen size, contrast, build, and ease-of-use. I’m not an every day Android software user (I rely heavily on Apple for easy to use interfaces) but I’ve found the Android OS works seamlessly with my Apple TV 4K, the Sony Sound Bar, and both Playstations (ps3 and ps4). Aside from the gaming systems, I can use either of the three remotes to control all aspects of the watching or listening experience. There is a dedicated >ARC< HDMI connection that I would highly recommend everyone who purchases this TV to use. There is a plethora of choices in price ranging from $200-$1500 for Sony Sound Bars and I chose the middle ground ($899, at sale price, $699). The reason I mention this feature first is because that sound bar can become your new amp with minimal wiring and effort. The TV itself intelligently knows when the outside speaker source is connected and defers to the better device. I have now ditched speaker wires and optical cords for just a few HDMI connections which are very easily tucked away because of the sheer size of the TV and the handy folding leg liners that snap shut over your cords and cables both sides. I have not upgraded to a PS4 Pro just yet, as I haven’t seen a great justification for a system that rarely employs the 4K tech often enough. And please be assured, the PS4 looks quite fine on this screen as is. I don’t play many games but RDR2 looks immersive and amazing on this display. As I’ve owned this model only for a month now, I would highly suggest doing your own research. But as a recent purchase, I could not be happier with the product. I absolutely love it. Related tips: *You definitely need AT LEAST one more person to help you move and set this TV up. A helping set of hands is ABSOLUTELY necessary. *One of the few quandaries I experienced was finding a great TV bench that satisfied the size requirements and aesthetically matched the display. The only product I found for less than $1000 was was from IKEA (knock them all you want, but for all of $300 I had a great looking and sturdy TV bench delivered.) They look great together. The model was a Hemnes 72” TV Stand. The display will hang over either roughly 1” on each side, but because of perspective and seating it appears FLUSH in my humble NYC apartment.

Had the tv a few weeks now and i absolutely love it! Sharp image, fantastic color, great sound and its absolutely huge! Watch a lot of football and its like being right there in the stadium. Price is good for this much quality packed into one tv. Did i mention it’s absolutely HUGE?!!?! Oh yeah, Geek Squad did a great job installing and setting everything up for me.

Absolutely LOVE IT! when i was tv shopping my main priority was biggest i could get without breaking the bank. This was it. 85' Sony Bravia! Right off the top being a Sony tv I knew the picture quality would be great, and Bravia is their top of the line tv lineup. Would recommend adding a Sony entertainment system for better Synchrony and output which I did. Two things to keep in mind. 1 this tv is huge, so if you thinking about wall mounting it, be sure to buy one specifically for bigger tvs cause the mount itself needs to be more heavy duty. Also make sure to find beams in the wall where you place the wall mount. You wouldn't wanna be naive and put this tv mounted in just dry wall, it's bound fall. 2 I have the tv on a tv stand. It was extremely hard to find a tv stand long enough to cover the width of the tv. The only was i found is in the picture brought from Nebraska Furniture. Or you can find something ling enough at Ikea.
